I am rolling up to my 1 year anniversary and got to thinking about how long do eGos last.
The first devices I got, almost a year ago, were a Lavatube and a couple of KSD eGos. When the eGo Twists and minis came out, I got a handful of those as well.
I have also purchased other equipment but those eGos are the only devices I use every single day. As a mater of fact, I would say that about 80% of my vape time is on some form of eGo.
What are your experiences with the longevity of devices?

I still use some old kGo VV (you know, the ones with the red/purple/blue light ring) that I bought over a year ago and they still work as good (err.. as bad?) as they did when I first bought them. I don't baby them either.

I'd say you're probably good for about around 3000-5000 charge cycles, but there are a lot of factors involved.

I'm just over a year on the 2 18490 batteries that came with my Provari kit and they still seem very strong.
There was a 3rd 18490 added to my collection about half way through 2012 when my 50 cal. was purchased.
Just lately however I noticed the time between charges on one of the 18490's seemed to be less.
Could be just my imagination but time will tell.

Grabbed a couple ego batts. about a year ago now for back-ups. One of the ksd 900mah with the 3 power levels.
I'll often take it to work for more discrete vaping. Aside from the occasional trouble with it wanting to power down from
high(blue) to medium it's been great, usually giving me two full working days on a charge.
Don't tell my boss but some days I probably get a solid 2 hours of vaping in.:D

Now the 1100mah passthrough battery seems not to hold the charge like it used to. Had it for back-up duty in my case for a few days and when I started hitting it hard it started flashing and cutting out on me. Set aside for a while and hit it only moderately later it got me through. It pays to never have the Provari with a fully charged battery not too far away at any time.

2013 is the year I'll be grabbing 2 more 18490's and one of those new fangled ego twists to add to the arsenal.
But will use what I have now until they're no longer usable. Pretty dependable stuff in my experience.YMMV.

My eGo-C kit I bought from HV a year ago has one 650 still alive and still performing like new. I broke the other one, totally my fault and it took a lot before it went. Problem is it's hard to know how many charge cycles I actually have on it. My best guess is about 100. They say lions are good for at least 300 if you don't abuse them and a lot more if you baby them. Shelf life is about 5 years max. If that is true this battery has a good bit of life left.

The Blue one was purchased May 8th 2011, Still works fine. :thumb:
The pass-through was dismantled before its time, out of curiosity....

The two 650 mAh eGo batteries that came with my starter kit over two years ago are still going strong. I've given each a good 300 charges, and the friend to whom I lent them probably charged them 50 times each, before he finally got his own hardware.

I did have an eGo-T battery die, but that's because I dropped it from about five feet onto a concrete floor and something broke inside.

I have 3 eGo's, or I should say two now. All three were/are still working great after over a year. One fell down between the couch cushions and I couldn't find it. I had to pull out the bed part, and in doing so, it got trapped in the metal work and the end broke off. Funny thing, I had to check if it still worked, and it did! I didn't use it though and in the garbage it went. I have no complaints about eGo batteries lasting.
