Howdy and welcome :) If vaping is working with patches increasing the nic level in your juice will likely make getting rid of the patches easier. Or you can simply put nic juice on a bandaid and replace the patches with home made. The reason galaxy smith Kline (the maker of patches) hates e-cigarettes so desperately is the availability of nicotine juice exposed their “special time release micropore” as being complete BS. All they’ve ever been selling in the first place is nicotine bandaids. They just charge a buck and a half for em instead of the dime they cost to make

Welcome @letitialee and I hope you enjoy your stay! I never used the patches but cold turkey was the only way it worked for me. Just said today is the day I never buy another pack and vaped until I got Nic Sick a few times. But over 3 years since my last stinky and was 3 years of dual use before the morning I woke up and said no more. Good luck

Welcome and ditto what the Bombastinator said, up your nic level in the juice and drop the patches. Now tell us what set-up your are using and what level nic juice, maybe we can help make the transition easier for you.

Hello. I’ve been vaping 2 weeks to quit cigarettes and it’s working with patches hello everyone I’m here to learn more about vaping safely and long term I’ll be quitting the patches too I’m on 14 mg for now

Welcome to ECF - glad you joined us!

+2 on increasing the level of nicotine in your e juice. Time to try out some 24mg and see how that does for you...

Good luck Letitia Lee in your quit! Vaping DOES work and get you off the smokes, it's just a matter of dialing in what works best for you!

Nope, I smoked on the patch too. Even at the highest strength at 3 ppd, I doubt I was in imminent risk of collapse, I hate the patch, it's the worst delivery system as it's flat. I'm left in a mild, crawly state of W/D the entire time. I much prefer gum or lozenges, at least they SLIGHTLY mimic a cigarette delivery system, which is higher levels to start, then rapidly dropping off. I wouldn't even ask for the patch in the hospital or something-- it makes me worse, not better.

This is not the case for everyone though, JFC, I agree with you on that.

Hospital...bah.

Years ago I had a dentist botch somethinv that landed me in the hospital for a few days. Think I was in my 20's. Smoked like a chimney.

They offered the patch, I couldn't chew anything. It did nothing. I ended up with my IV on a it's pole thingy outside smoking. So many dirty looks. Hell I was young and invincible, guy almost killed me, a cig wouldn't hurt...

So much I wish I could do over, but yeah patches suck (for me, and apparently Anna)

Welcome! This is a knowledgeable and supportive community. I joined in the first week of August. I knew nothing about vaping, but wanted desperately to quit or at least reduce my 40yr 25-30 cigarettes per day habit. It has been a struggle, but I am down to 5 or 6 a day. It is all about finding the right device and the right e-liquid. I was at 8-9 cigs a day until some recent game changers - discovering WTA juice and getting a variable wattage battery. I am still looking for a non-WTA tobacco flavored juice for the evening. I would have never made it this far without the support of the experienced users here.

Your path will be different, no doubt. But I can attest that this community will help you find it if you stick around.
