You can blame one of your long-standing members for me joining. We’ve never met, but I stumbled across his thread about extracting e-liquid from tobacco and decided to try my hand at it. I’m sure there will be questions.

I’ve been a cigarette smoker over forty years and finally decided to quit. It’s been more than five (loooooong) weeks using a patch for the chemical addiction and vaping zero nic to replace the ritual.

During my smoking days, I ventured into pipes and found smoking them enjoyable. The convenience of cigarettes coupled with the lack of leisure time sent the pipes into storage, though. I’d always thought that if I quit cigarettes I might return to the pipes. That’s a decision to make after I’ve been off patches for a while.

For vaping, I’ve tried two different NET manufacturers, one okay, the other disappointing. Why can’t I find anything close to my old favorites of Marlin Flake, Escudo Navy Deluxe, and Kingfisher? Well, I think @PapawBrett handed me an answer in a canning jar.

For the time being, I’m auditioning commercially available NET liquids to carry me until a batch of “home brew” is complete.

Welcome to ecf. I have stayed away for a long time and just recently came to visit but I tell you this much for sure. . . ecf and the wonderful people here are the support I needed to quit almost 9 years ago and I have never even considered going back to smoking. Good luck to you and welcome again.
