currently parked in my back garden.. it pumps 900 imperial gallons per minutes.. enough to put most fires out..

an interesting 1953 early cold war relic.. fully functional taxed and insured for the road..

900 gallons of pure 36 mg wicked liquid in its internal tank.. you puff on the little pink hoses on the side.. he he he

in one of the side compartments is something they call a "featherweight" portable pump.. it takes four men to lift it and pumps 300 gallons a minute.. some featherweight.. he he

these things have a history.. if anyone is interested google Green Goddess..

these were used by the forces the last time firefighters went on strike and stopped lots of guys from going on tour in Iraq ( which is what alot of guys really wanted to do ).

Green goddess's are only good for what trogg has it for , collectors items. Totally useless for modern firefighting.

Top speed is a crawl and water pressure abismal compared to the modern appliance

not entirely true.. my goddess will go places a modern appliance will not go.. its military four wheel drive design sees to that and it does a grand job of raising sunken boats.. he he..

it also make a nice "grown ups" toy.. which is why i have one..

they exist because the government used them as a tool to fight striking firemen.. a political tool so to speak.. now nothing exists.. he he

originally they were designed to link up and pump water to stricken A bombed cities from many miles away..

a civil defence thing.. they are in essence go anywhere portable pumps.. they have a big 9 inch outlet on the side.. the idea was to linked them all up and pump water from canals lakes or whatever to the A bombed city..

shortly after 6000 of them were made the russians tested the H bomb.. this kinda made the water pumping idea redundant.. with an H bomb there would be no city left to pump water to.. he he..

most were sold off to local fire services.. 2000 were moth balled and kept just in case.. the just in case turned out to be emergency use manned by the army when the UK firemen went of strike.. they were used two or tree times for this purpose..

now most have been scrapped with some in the hands of museums and the odd weirdo like me.. he he

of course they wont compare with modern appliance for fighting fires.. only a fool would claim they do.. mine has 2500 miles on the clock from new..

trog

ps.. manned by the army wasnt strickly true.. they were manned by the army.. navy and airforce or whoever happened to be handy at the time..

Made this pipe today got a standard 901 atomizer but uses the same batteries as trogs screwdriver hence should have the same performance. has a manual switch but also has a vacuum switch so you can use it normally or for that extra hit press the switch.
sure trog could make something along this line with all his spare parts perhaps call it the "ratchet" to go in his toolbox :thumb:

Do you sell it man? and if so how much?

That is by far the coolest E-Pipe I have ever seen its modern its functional and it wont make the user look like a damn Shirlock Holms a definate product suited to the younger generation as well as our head shop friends... Only thing I think I personally would change is to put the switch on top of the bowl... if possible of course... but for ease of use and functionality the top swith would be very similar to pressing or packing the tobacco of a traditional analog pipe...
