Ordered a provari and a big daddy tank.

First time vaper too.

I had bought a smoketip, and I'm hooked to vaping, but the smoketip is a childs toy compared to the provari.

Did 3 weeks of straight research before settling on this.

I have another question, if i wanted to get something more "lightweight", what would fit the tank/carto system I got?

Provari is expensive, there's no doubt about it. When you look at aluminum tube mods for $99 vs a stainless steel Provari at $159, it's obvious that the Provari will last longer. Aluminum threads tend do spawl and deteriorate, especially with the way we are constantly removing cartos and blowing them out. The threaded part of a Provari is replaceable, even though it's likely to outlast any aluminum part.

I did the comparison and decided to part with the extra $59 at the outset, especially considering that Provape services what they sell. A $99 VV tube mod will likely be unserviceable from the vendor who simply sells what they can get from China.

I'm not intending to disparage aluminum tube mods so much as pointing out what will last and what is throwaway from a service standpoint. Both will offer similar vaping pleasure. One will outlast several of the other.

Ya'll are some funny people around here. Congrats on the provari. I really want to pick one of those up. I am quite jealous right now.

I spent way more than the price of a Provari before I finally decided to try it. At $40 and $50 per ecig that I ordered over a two year period, I could have purchased a couple of Provaris and a box full of batteries and accessories. That fact finally hit me and I caved in and ordered something that would last.

Oh yes. Any newbie would have to know that the Provari possibly is the best e-cigarette. But the most newbies (also myself some month ago) buy eGo cigarettes, then a different sort, and then you have not enough more money for the Provari. If the newfie would spend the money for the Provari in the first time and not for eGo, any newbie would be happy :).

In Europe, the Provari is much more expensive than in the U.S., but I'm patient, I will save money, and then............ ;-)))).

The Provari is heavier than any ecig I've tried, but it's built like a tank. I'm used to walking around with an eGo in my pocket. Having the Provari in that same pocket is a little different, not to mention that if I lay it down somewhere and walk off, I'd be upset if it weren't there when I returned! It will definitely stay in the pocket and not be left out of my sight.

Way to go on your Provari order... You made a great choice. I love when new vapors start off on top...

I got a Provari Mini because the 18350 batteries also fit into the Gripper which is a great little stealth mod. There are box mods for the 18500 and 18650 batteries too you may want to look into.

Your other option is an ego battery, but a high resistance carto may be pretty weak on it. Mini box mod with low resistance carts and Provari with standard resistance is ideal.

Of course, you could just go all low resistance cartomizers so it works on anything (ego, box mod, whatever) at the cost of a little less battery life on the Provari.
