Hi all,

I've just ordered e-cig for the first time and I'm absolutely terrified! 8-o I think its because I know I'm serious about stopping smoking this time! A bit of background into what made me want to stop for good -

I snogged a guy at the weekend and he told me my breath tasted like an ashtray, nice! He saw me smoking just beforehand so it was obvious that I smoked!

I can't afford it either and im sick of smelling like an ashtray. Just hope it works!!

Good luck Nalz in your quest to get off the analog cigarettes, I too am about to do the exact same thing I just need to figure out which ecig is best for me so that I can begin quiting the smoking of the analogs. Sounds like many people have did the same thing here and have been successful so once again good luck and im sure you will be done with the analogs soon enough.

I just got my 510 last week and I haven't smoked since. I smoked at least a pack a day for 10 years up until then and never imagined being able to quit. It's been absolutely remarkable! There's were a few moments of anxiety in the beginning but once I got some juice and stopped using the starter carts it's been a breeze. You'll be able to snog freely with no objections. :) Good luck to you.

Thanks!! I find it hard to believe that this could actually work!! Like many others im sure, I've tried so many times to stop, using so many methods and failed miserably. Fingers crossed though that this time is for good. Its funny, I'm actually scared that I'll be 'missing out' on smoking. Logically, I know that I'm not 'giving up' anything, I'm actually doing a good thing!

nalz,

I didn't get into ecigs to quit, but I know what you might be feeling and it isn't that way at all. With the right ecig (suggest 510) you get everything you need - vapor and nicotine - plus once you have time to sample flavors, that will be a plus when you find flavors you really like. So it will be better than before! And you don't have to worry about 'going off the wagon'. This isn't like a diet where if you have one doughnut, it's all over. You just have your cigarette and notice how bad it tastes now and go back to vaping.

I didn't start vaping to quit smoking. I just told my husband I would try it. It wasn't that bad although I still smoked a few cigarettes a day. The first ecig I started with was not that good. So I finally got a 510. Eventually I found cigarettes nasty tasting. After 40 years of smoking 3 packs a day I have been vaping 11 months and will never go back to cigarettes. If I can quit cigarette than anybody should be able to.

Good luck.

I felt the same way about "missing out" but it really was easy. It's just a matter of really wanting to do it and being strong and sticking with it. The only things you'll be missing out on are bad. Everything good that can be derived from an analog can be had through vaping without the any of the negatives.

The people hanging out here are the ones vaping worked for. There are a lot of us.

Its funny, I'm actually scared that I'll be 'missing out' on smoking.

I think it's people like that who take to vaping the most. Just the thought of quitting made me feel the loss. That's why none of the (many) methods I tried before worked.

But with vaping, there's nothing to miss out on. Like all the other methods, it addresses your nicotine habit. But this is the only one that also addresses the other parts of the smoking habit -- the oral fixation, what you do with your hands, etc.

Good luck.
