I personally refuse to use another IPV2 until they get rid of that horrid touch sensor up top... even if it is disconnected...which makes no sense!

They're not bad devices, i've used a few of my friends and guys at the local B&M shop... i just dont get that button lol. Hits fine... has worked every time i've used one. Good build quality as well.

Anyhow, you should lie the device.

Never lie to your device. That's just mean.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

To the OP's question, my buddy bought one last night. It seems like a great device. Good build quality, nice size and USB charging. I am sure it's not exactly the same chip as the S just because the S is upgradeable, but they are very similar. The difference in watts, even with the upgrade, is pretty minimal especially considering most people will never use that much power anyway.

I have a IPV2X myself. I like mine really well. I use a Imren in mine and it seems to last a lot longer then with a Sony battery. The thing about the 2X versus the 2S and 3S is the buttons. I like the bigger fire button and the fact it has no button rattle. I feel it is a solid mod. I wish I could figure out if you could upgrade like the 2S to 70 watts. I almost tried but I am afraid it will make my unit a useless brick.

IPV 2X is NOT.............N O T Upgradable. it is the same Series chip as The (S) SX330, But not the same Version.
v2 verses v2s chip
Full Specs:
SX330 50W Chip

Oh well I don't guess it is to big of a deal really. I haven't really went past 45 watts so no need for another 10 watts I guess.

I've had my IPV2X since mid Dec and been using it pretty much daily since so just over a month.

Really like this mod, the larger button is nice and clicky, seems solid, no rattle on mine. No software updates for it, but its solid as is, assuming you are good with 60w. The memory functions work well, I like them, even if they are forced on you.

I also like the form factor, nice, and compact; it was a large reason I wanted it. Although it is not small like some of the mini mods coming out recently, its reasonable size for a single 18650 mod IMO. Battery life is fine for a single 18650 too, depends largely on the battery you use.

I think it looks good without the chrome beveled edges like ipv3/2S. The black is more of a really dark gray, and looks great with the buttons.

Screws for the battery backplate is lame, but works fine, and I get no play from it. It seems like if pioneer4you wanted to perfect the IPV2 they should have went with magnets instead of screws, but oh well. After warranty is up, or I get bored I'll replace the screws with magnets.

Spring loaded 510 works well, good contact with atomizers. The 510 on mine is slightly slanted, and the finish is wearing down more on one side from tightening down my attys. The lean isn't really noticeable even with RTAs so it doesn't bother me much.
