Can someone give me some tips/pics/whatevers on how to roll a nice round SS wick that won't kink on me?
The always end up flattening out and bending at sharp 90 degree angles through the wick slots. When I see pics of other people SS wicks they look really even and round, like 'real wick'
I'm having issues getting a nice wick going for a CE2 mod. And I have no idea what 'rolled on the bias' means so if that's your advice please explain![]()
BJ master of steel recommended 400 to me, regardless of VG or PG ratio
I've been using 400 for 100% VG with no issues
Many people recommend 325 for VG
Don't think 300 would work as well, but if its all you can get give it a shot
So that I end up with a triangle?
And the center of the wick is one of the tips of the triangle?
Pics would depend on the use. If you tell me what atty you plan to convert to SS. There are many threads with pics with SS wicks.i like the idea of all these ss wick and filler modification
any chance of having some pictures on how to?
No, your cut piece will still be square or a rectangle. You are just cutting that square out of the sheet diagonally.
You ought to roll it straight and even, not twisting. Twisting invites it to kink. To tighten you get it to roll into itself by applying pressure between your fingers first in the center of the roll and then working your way outwards. Dan's done a lot of vids, and rolls mesh on the bias for U shaped wicks, but standard for straight ones.
