So would the 401 starter kit be a good choice to start with?..........I starting vaping & quit analogs bout 5 weeks ago & I will NEVER smoke a real cig again...I have no urges at all...The problem is, I started with a Smoke 51 TRIO only because it was sold locally here at a smoke shop....I want to switch cause batteries & attys are 3 times PLUS the price of other brands sold & I havent had any luck finding aftermarket parts that I know will fit.....Also, can I drip with the 401?..ANY ADVICE??

Well, I will say the same thing I pretty much always say in response to this question-

something that uses 510 atomizers is probably best.

The reason is this:
*Pretty cheap way to get going, or move up from a mini.
*For some people it is enough to keep going with (maybe with a big battery) and for those who need more...
*A lot of popular mods- the real fancy, up-market devices that DON'T look like a cigarette at all- use or can easily be adapted to 510s, so any atomizers you have can still be used, which saves a few bucks.

I myself never had a 510- I went from a tiny E9 to an 801 to a GGTS before I found something that WORKED for me.
But I did just buy some 510 atomizers for it.

I'm not too familiar with the 401, but I can attest to the fact that the kits sold in most local stores and/or kiosks are overpriced and not too great. I recommend getting a 510. If battery life is an issue, you might go for the eGo, which is basically a 510 with a bigger battery. I use the eGo and couldn't be happier.

You cannot use a 510 on a 401.

I don't think the 401 would be good to start with. Many people have success with a 510 or an eGo/Riva (510 with a big battery).

I don't think you can use 510 attys on a 401 battery. The threads are different. There might be an adapter, but I'm not sure.

I've been vaping for a month today. I got a ProVape-1 last weekend that takes the 510 LR atty's and really like it. Battery lasts all day and plenty of vapor.

No, my suggestion was to NOT get the 401 but something with a bit more "oomph" than that, and better battery life.

The small ecigs that LOOK like cigarettes don't put out much vapor and the batteries don't last long.
I don't know much about the 401, but I know this: I have never seen much talk about them.

You can if you get this adapter. The Better Way To Smoke - Adaptor, M401 Battery to 510 Atomizer But as has been stated you will be happier with a larger battery. Someone has the Ego sale going and the Ego is just a 510 with a huge battery.
