Over filling is NOT good. LOL So I thought I'd share how I make sure that doesn't happen.
Taking for granted that you know how to get the cart. close to full without over filling by what ever method you use. Either because it is new or you know roughly how much it needs, etc.
Once you have the cart. near full I think most people tilt the cart. and drop the last few drops in hoping not to over do it. You put a drop or two in and look to see how moist it is and how quickly it absorbs. Try to judge by what you see, how much more to put in, if any.
This is the part that I think will be just a little hard to explain. I'll try my best.
Because the cart. is tilted the liquid goes to what I'm going to call the 'bottom' part of the hole you are filling. This is only the bottom because you have it tilted that way. It is important that you know what I'm calling the 'bottom' vs the 'top'. When you have it tilted the juice will run to the bottom side and that will look very moist just before it absorbs.
I have found that right after putting a drop in...
1. if the top gets a little moist, you are done.
2. If the top does not get moist, you can try another drop.
You know when you put the drop in that the bottom is going to get moist so that doesn't tell you much, but if there is enough juice in the cart already that putting a drop in makes the top portion moist, you know that any more than that will likely over fill.
This has helped me, but I'm not sure that I explained it very well. This top and bottom thing sounds shaky as I re-read this. If you had the top of the cart. tilted to the right. The bottom would be to the right. Sheesh, that still sounds confusing, but I'm to push the submit button anyway.
