Subohming : What am I doing wrong??

So, I bought 2 target mini kits that came with the guardian tank.

The tank has 0.5 ohm coils. I bought an extra pack of coils.

I tried vaping some ejuice. I primed the coil for 10 minutes. I inhaled a few times without turning on the mod. I then tried it out. The first puff tasted good. The second puff, not so good. Burnt tasting. Turned down from 30 watts to 20 watts. Same thing. Kept testing. Waiting. Same thing. Threw out coil, cleaned tank, tried again.

The same thing happened. First puff, amazing yay whoo hooo. Second puff, yuk, burnt taste. Cleaned out the tank. Tried another coil. First puff, amazing ! Second puff.. tastes like warm air. Taste depleted. What the heck.

Is it these coils/tank or is it my ejuice? I've been trying 70/30 vg/pg flavors, I tried multiple flavors and I am so confused and very annoyed. These coils are like 3 dollars a piece.

Okay, so I went back to the store I purchased my Vaporesso mini from and explained the problem and asked them to take a look for me, they got a new coil and dripped liquid into the side holes with a piece of wire, then put it in, filled the tank, put if on 15 watts, then they were doing three quick hard sucks without firing, then they would fire it for 1 second and just gradually work their way up through the wattage 2 watts at a time, stopping to take three unfired sucks each time before firing again.
Whenever he fired it up, if it didn't taste quite right yet they would knock it back down by 2 watts and repeat the process.
He got it to thirty, and now it tasted better than any vape I've ever had, and this was two days ago.
Fingers crossed this method will work for you so that you can start enjoying yours finally, I was so frustrated with mine until this point.
The juice I'm using is a 70/30 btw
Good luck

I left the juice in the tank for a week and it stil sucks. I dont understand how this would work any better then 1 week of priming.

I see this is an older post but i wanted to throw this out there to see if it might help anyone else, i just bought the target mini and was getting spitback and through trial and error this is what i discovered and hope might help someone else. I don't do anything special to prime the coils now i just fill the tank and let it sit for a good 15 minutes and then i take the mouthpiece off and turn the tank upside down for a few minutes on a paper towel. You will see a wet spot from the juice and if so i move it to a dry spot for a couple more minutes on the paper towel until its done leaking the juice out and then when i vape it no spitback and its a very smooth and tasty vape. I'm not sure why this works or why there is even an overflow of juice but all i know is this works and it makes for a great vape.

I have no problems with my target mini with guardian tank with the coils it came with. These coils last a long time too. Way longer than my kanger or smok coils. I get great flavor too. I don't do any special priming. Couple drops in each side hole, fill it, sit for 5mins good to go. 33-35 watts right from the start.

I have noticed with some juices if i take a really really long drag/pull it taste burnt. These tanks are so smooth you dont feel like you're gettin a big pull so you can pull on it for a long time.

Also, keep the airflow open. With the air flow open and not pulling for too long you should be fine. I use many juices out of it an no problems at all.

A lot of the flavors taste better from the guardian than my smok brit beast with v8 baby q2 .4Ω coils.
