Just when I found a local vendor

I just found a vendor in my city who sells juice and parts and now HC has sent them the letter to cease sale of electronic cigarette products containing nicotine.

I am hoping that all of this madness will end sooner than later.

They won't take anyone to court they don't have a leg to stand on and they don't want to give the legal system a chance to prove it.

Support your local vendor if u can but also understand if he just doesn't feel like dealing with the bullies.

Well I know one of these vendors being harassed by Health Canada. Trust me Health Canada CAN and WILL cause them all sorts of trouble if the feel they are being ignored.

The main crux of Health Canada's argument centers around E-cigs being classified by *them* and quite arbitrarily as a "medical device" when it is NOT it makes no claims to cure Cancer or stop people from wanting Nicotine it just keeps them form inhaling the 4000 other chemicals that come from a Health Canada approved Cigarette. After many attempts to get them to see the reason implied in classifying it as a recreational product and pointing out that attempting to ban them is in fact in violation of the food & drug act which lists nicotine inhalers with a dose below 4mg of nicotine as an exemption. He has been stonewalled and on the advise of a lawyer has had to give up.

Essentially what it comes down to is the attempted ban IS unlawful but Health Canada has hundreds of tax funded lawyers who can keep a court case going for decades (with us paying for it) if they want to and he is an independent businessman who will eventually run out of funds.

The government (no matter WHO it is) will be on the side of Health Canada due to the sheer amount of tax revenue they could potentially miss out on from people switching to think otherwise would be foolish at best.

We need to contact our MP's, Health Canada and especially the media to educate about this violation of our rights or there is no chance of anything positive happening.

I heard about this too! It was someone on ecf that whistle blowed them to HC. I am beyond sickened. Back to being a lurker I guess, I am guessing this person will find me on the net too and tell HC that I purchase nic. Christ, when will the shenanigans ever end. I was so looking forward to trying some juice too from this vendor. POd isn't even the word to describe this crap!

It always amazes me when forums, such as this one, are joined by people with the sole intention of causing trouble for others. It is mystifying, to say the least, to think that some think they are so damned important and try to look good in the eyes of some (in this situation, HC or whomever they reported it to) , when in fact they are looked upon as fools by the very fools to whom they did all of the reporting.
