So I came to this forum a total noob. With the help of many people On this forum I learned a lot about ecigs. I thot I knew it all. Now after looking around more on hear there's a bunch of stuff I still don't know

What is ohm and how can you tell what you have

What is steeping

What is a clearomizer

And how do you know what ohm works best with what kind of battery

Ohm is a measurement of resistance. The lower the resistance of your atomizer/cartomizer the hotter it will vaporize your liquid.

I'm not to sure of this, but I believe steeping is, basically "aging" your liquid. I'm not very brushed up on the subject, but I think that's the basis of the term.

A clearomizer is exactly how it sounds. It's pretty much a clear cartomizer.

I'm still pretty new to all this myself, so I can't tell you off the top of my head about knowing which resistance works best with what battery you have, but I usually go to youtube and watch countless videos of people's setups that have the same battery as me (in my case it's an eGo-c) and see how well they work vs. cost effectiveness as well.

I may not be the most qualified person to answer your questions, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Come on guys, group effort here!

Lol I've been at 15 months and still learn everyday :)

I've been at it for around 2 years and am still learning new stuff all the time.

well, I've been here a year and the only one I can answer for sure is

what is steeping....

it really more like aging. you let liquids sit around for a while and often the flavor changes for the better....like chili tastes better the day after you make it :)

That's a good way to describe it.

Ohm is a unit that measures electrical resistance. The lower the ohms, the more vapor a carto/atty produces.

Steeping: you let the juice age for a few days/weeks. It improves flavor for some juices.

Clearomizer: it is a fillerless cartomizer with a transparent body so you can see the level of juice inside. The coil is at the top of the carto and there are two wicks hanging from the coil into the body of the carto. It is also known as a CE2 or fluxomizer.

How do you know what ohms work best on a battery? It is a matter of personal preference. Most people like to vape from 7-9 watts of power. If you use the formula for Ohm's Law: Power=(Voltage*Voltage)/Resistance and solve for resistance, then Resistance=(Voltage*Voltage)/Power.
