I got 5 Mini Vivi Novas, and I can't figure out where the heck the little free-standing silicone ring is supposed to go. This isn't a gasket, but an actual ring -- it's about 3 mm high and 2.5 mm in diameter.

In one it's halfway up the drip tip. In another, it's inside the base of the drip tip. In a third, it's in the metal base that the drip tip slides into. In the fourth it's inside the top of the silicone tip of the atomizer. And the fifth was found in the box, thanks to customs, which opened one up.

So where is this thing really supposed to be!?

Great idea. Here's a pic. The thing I'm talking about is in the middle.

If it's the one in the middle of the picture you posted, it's seated in the middle of all my Nova driptips. I'm pretty sure it's put there to kinda stop liquid/condensation from going into your mouth, if you vape it while holding your device in a horizontal/somewhat upwards angle. That's just pure guessing though, but that's where they were all seated on the 4 Novas I own :)

i took mine out of the drip tip and added them to the center of the coil rubber piece. works like a gasket if you have leaking issues

Yeah, that's where I had ended up putting mine, as I didn't know where else to put them and it was a natural fit. They stay there pretty well, where as in the drip tip mine mostly fall up or down, or come out on the kleenex I use to mop up condensation and jucie.
