I'm wondering what the generic for the V4L Vapor King is? (Just want to double check I thought it was a Kr8 but then someone said in a review it was a 901)

Reason I ask is I'm doing some research on what ecig I want to get next and I came across the Vapor King. But my shallowest of requirements are that it has to be black, preferably have a purple LED (Blue LED is my second choice but purple is my fave color so I really really would love a purple LED ) and that it's shaped similarly to a regular cigarette (i.e. No ego, penstyle, or screwdriver) so I'm trying to find out if I could find a battery that would fit that model and meet my 'aesthetic specifications'

By the way, has anyone tried using a battery-atomizer/cartomizer adapter? I was wondering how well they work just in case. Thanks

The V4L Vapor King is a Kr808D-1. But the 901 atomizers will fit on a Kr808D-1 battery. Perhaps that's where the confusion is coming from.

You can indeed buy Kr808 black batteries. Unsure about the purple LED's, but blue for sure. Look around - V4L, ElectroNicStix, FreedomSmokeUSA, and PureSmoker (they brand it as the Ace) all sell it. I have bought from ElectroNicStix and FreedomSmokeUSA, and they were both awesome.

I have a Kr808D-1 to 510 adapter (Kr808 battery with a 510 atomizer - the battery model is always first), and it works great.

But if you want the Kr808, and want to try atomizers, just get a 901, since it will work without an adapter.

As impatient as I am, I'm kinda glad I'm having to wait it out until Christmas to get a new ecig, gives me time to mull it over and hopefully prevent an impulse buy. *cough*Blu*cough*
