Just so I'm clear when you say you raised the 510 you used the wench counter clockwise to raise it...right?
newp what everyone else said.....clockwise (to the left) lowers it. I did notice with my metal grand, I have to turn it out a full turn for most attys to fire. With the derringer about 1.5 turns since the derringer pin is too far up in the threads. When I got the woodvil, was so excited, didn't even think about adjusting the 510, screwed an atty on, it fired right up.....then it hit me.......hey wait, I didn't adjust this! Kewl. lol But mine all sit flush enough for me. I'm like rule I think it was, I prefer a maybe 1 mm gap

That's another thing that's cool about the V2 Nuppins. There's no shoulder on the base. So, you can reduce the chamber even more by raising the 510 pin on the Reo, and pushing the cap on the Nuppin down further.
Ok, hope this isn't too much a hijack, and feel free to pm me, but you and spydro seem to really like this feature, I love the lip on the V1, cuz I know I won't push it too far down on accident and shorting it. I can see the benefit possibly of reducing the chamber, but it's got such great flavor I don't really feel the need to do that, and I like the safety aspect of having the lip. Is there something else I'm not thinking of that makes it better without the lip? Can't afford any more nuppins right now, but am hoping I can get another V1 at some point, but am wondering if there's another reason I should look at the V2 (or possibly V3??? hope hope) if he does them with no lip, if he even does them.

Well after 25-30 turns clockwise no change in the depth so I think its broken
couldn't tell from the pic, but hopefully others will be able to. Kinda looks like it might be gone, but not sure. I was gonna say the same thing. Hope it's just that, cuz Rob has a buncha those grub screws. Sorry you've had so many issues with this one. It's my only woodvil ever so nothing to compare it to, but I love it.

Gil, the inside of that screw is shaped like a allen wrench six sides. You should not see a round shape in the very center. If you must, use a magnifying glass and look at the very inside hole. It should be shaped like the six side allen wrench.

It seems to be missing. Maybe when I first tried to adjust it I didn't notice and pulled it out completely. Should it not work with any atty if missing?

I believe it will work as long as the center pin of the atty makes contact. The grub is meant to be an extension to the actual positive contact in the well.

Makes sense since try all 5 different attys I have including the RM2s which I tried did not work but a Cyclone was the only one that did. :( Time to visit the spa.

Dude. Yeah that screw looks like it's gone. It's a real short he's headed hollow screw.

Obviously if your turning it 25 times abs nothibg. Will be night and day when ya get one in the mail!

Yea Woodvils are all that and a bag of chips. Have not really used my metal reos since. Perfect fit and feel in the hands. Why I own 4 and still want more! Haha

Even bought a mini and metal two grand after my first 2 woods and never touch them.. stupid cause I sold off my 2 other metal reos cause I knew the Woodvils is all I want to use.

If you have any other Prova with the one let us know.

By the time I read this, it was a done deal. But I will put in my two cents on the atty I use. It sits a little high, and I did not try to adjust it. At first I didn't like it that high. But then I thought it was better that way. If the juice is leaking on the wood, I would be able to see underneath, if I hold it up to a strong light. I don't have an o ring in there either. So far it is doing just fine, as is. The atty I have is a cheap Derringer clone. It is working pretty good, but I think one of the o rings swelled on me a little. I don't know why. I believe I used silicone on all o rings. But I might not have done that one yet. I suffer from CRS, sorry.
