The best setup is what works for you. Some swear by cartomizers and some swear by RBA or RDA. Sadly, spending money to try it yourself is mostly the only way to find out. If you have a good local vape shop (or fellow vapers nearby), one of the employees might be nice enough to let you try their tank (with their juice and setup) on your mod. I found out that 30 watts isn't necessarily extreme just that way (and oh boy the crazy flavor).

And now I bet you'll get about a hundred different tank recommendations in 3...2....1....

So by luck I was given a karmy k 100 that includes a 18650 ICR battery a case and a polished drip tip and a stainless cartomizer (2.0 -2.5 ohm.) i just want to know if there a is a better set up for this mod?

If you got the battery charger that originally came with the k100 kit, I highly recommend you get a reliable smart charger to prevent over charging of the battery and all the dangerous risks and prevent ruining the battery that a cheap charger can bring.

You may want to consider getting a different battery if your 18650 ICR is a protected ICR Li Ion battery. Lithium ion class batteries are also called "protected batteries". These batteries are now considered obsolete for mod use because of their potential for flames & explosion.

Make sure you're 100% studied up on safety. I just spent the past two months getting it all together, reviewing it and then, reviewing it again. I've got ohm's law in my head now, I don't need an app or website. That's how detailed you need to be.

I've got a DMM for the house, and a 510 ohm reader to stuff in my briefcase, (well, it's currently in my online shopping basket. Just double checking I have all I need).

And saying you have an ICR battery is just not enough! Sorry.

As has already been said, each to their own. Everyone prefers a different 'kind' of setup, every setup has its own learning curve. Again, sorry. But it really can be a lot of fun if you have the patience. And those very informative flashlight forums are just awesome. Almost got me into flashlights :)

Be safe and enjoy the ride.

For starters, I agree with what the previous posters said. Now that that's out of the way, do you know if it's the cartomizer that came with the k100 kit? If so, I threw mine away less than a day later.

Since the k100 is 510 threaded, the atomizers possibilities are almost endless. As for myself, I partnered the k100 with a Nautilus at the recommendation of a B&M. While it did work, the dry hits kept me looking for something different. Now that a Aspire came out with the new coils for the mini Nautilus, I'm thinking of giving my Nautilus another try since the coils are compatible in both.

In short, if you already like a particular atomizer that would be a good one to start with.
