K100 and batteries

Hi all, I've seen these k100's on fasttech for a decent price. I do have some 18650 trust fire batteries that I use in my vamo, they're button top batteries I see the ones that FT supply are flat top (I believe ) but I'm unsure as it's telescopic and can be altered to fit what's desired. Also this will be my first mech mod so any advice is welcome

all my batteries have on them is TR18650 don't really know if they're protected or unprotected :/

Only if you buy a safety fuse. Otherwise, never use a battery with "fire" in the name. They are not safe chemistry batteries.

Grab yourself some AW IMR or Panasonics and be safe.

Thank you for the reply, if I grab one I'll just get safe chemistry batteries. Wondering if my vamo 18650's would be sufficient, rather be on the safe side and at least get a fuse

What are you planning to put on the K100 and at what ohms? The current drawn can make a big difference in exactly what is needed in batts. But whatever you do, some type of IMR are strongly recommended for mech mods.

I only use AW IMR batteries. All of mine are buttontop. I have a K100 and K101, which I kick, so 18350 and 18490 work for that.

However, you are correct, both types will work as it is telescopic. I would consider purchasing new batteries. I have also been told never to trust anything that ends in "fire".
