K100 and fastech questions

Looking to get into mech mods and rba/rdas. Stumbled across this at fasttech and to me it seems like a good deal.

Was wondering if this is an okay package deal in terms of battery/charger quality.

Also...aside from shipping times, is fasttech good to deal with? Thank you!

I've never had an issue with FastTech and have heard the K100 kit is a reasonable one to get started with on Mechs. Shipping time to me in California was ~10 days. It might be smart to buy different batteries as I've heard the ones that come with the kit aren't great.

Should I go local supplier for the batteries or do they have better ones at FT. what am I looking for exactly in a battery?

These are good batteries also from fasttech. I really don't know anything about The ones in that kit other than people don't recommend them, I believe they are unprotected and not safe chemistry. I have a k100 from fasttech and they are nice, maybe just order the mod and batteries with a better charger, also on fasttech.

This charger has been serving me well from Fasttech 14 bucks.......The batteries below are Panasonics, good batteries. The Green ones I've listed t the bottom are KILLER !!

Here is the one that I got from them. Works fine for me. They did sent the wrong plug (a Euro plug instead of US) but I picked up another cord for a couple bucks and didn't see the point sending it back for the right plug. I have one of the simple chargers that comes in the kit you posted and it worked fine but I do like this charger better. Hopefully one of the battery guru's will chime in and explain what exactly makes a better charger, I don't know the details.
