I was looking at AW 18650 1600 mAh it's rated at 24 amps, and according to posts here maybe a hybrid just not sure yet. I already have an ohm meter and my other device is an SVD so I can check with that too correct? I'm probably just gonna buy one of those you can screw the atty on and push a button...I like! I will keep learning ohms law but all this info makes my noggin foggy after a while lol!

Buy a DMM. With unregulated mech mods, you need to be able to check continuity, resistance and voltage... that can only be done with a DMM - or if you just want to be stubborn, three separate meters. ;-)

A box Ω meter is fine to build coils on... but do not assume that a $15 box meter is accurate, when compared to a decent quality DMM.

Resistance and amperage work in concert. Using Ohm's Law, you can determine what that parity is... and if it's safe.

1.3 to 1.4 ohms total ohms ( notice i said total ohms). is not that low. Assuming a fresh 4.2 volt battery you would have at the 1.3 ohms your would have 14.7 watts at 3.5 amps. Most 18000 series batteries will handle that if you got one that was rated at 10 amps you would have a huge margin for error. Batteries you can get batteries that are either chemically or electronically protected. Those are great for Mechanical mod if you don't go sub ohm and exceed the limit of the battery. Ok now to the k101 mod. That mod is great for safety as it has a very nice left handed safety ring. USE IT. One other thing it is not the best when it comes to voltage drop/mod resistance. IF you ever decide to go sub ohm and the coil has a lower resistance than the k101 it will get warm. But your would have to go really low to do that. K101s will not use a KICK card with out a special adapter. I have a k101 and i use it a lot as it's the easiest one when it comes to the fire button. Volt meters were mentioned above. Unless you plan to measure voltage on an VW or VV apv you don't need and expensive one. I disagree about throwing away the batteries that came with it as long as you don't exceed say 5 amps. You won't need 30amp batteries unless you go sub ohm. Plus it's hard to find 30 amp batteries with a high mah rating.
