Here's the first clone I've received news of. Pretty quick. I won't be going down this road, but I thought someone might be interested. [emoji6]

Really ??. I got a Tobeco Orchid v4 that's absolutely great. No burs,flaws and no lingering machine oils. Works flawlessly.

Tried them twice, threading was terrible and both rusted inside the tank.

They use the lowest grade SS possible, I did the magnet test and both held a magnet. While some SS will take a magnet these had solid contact.

I think it's great you had good luck but I would never buy anything they produce again.

From what I heard, Tobeco actually makes most of the clones for ehpro, hcigar and others. The other companies have varying levels of quality control and will reject the lower quality ones sent to them by tobeco. Or something like that.

That's just from little tidbits i've read here and there and I have absolutely nothing to back it up lol

Nothing has been worse than Ivogo. I have several of the tobeco orchid clones, and they have been ok for me, but 1st run clones have been mostly junk in my experience.

Yeah, the Tobeco Orchids are pretty darn nice. And so is the new Aquav2 I'm told. Tobeco is definitely improving.

However, after the SquapeR, I'm not going to be the guinea pig.

Tobeco used to be pretty bad quality, the past few months however Tobeco has become one of the nicer cloners (in terms of attys) on the chinese market.

I have an auth coming in, if I like it I would pick up a clone...it would have to be an ephro though, that company nailed the Kfl v2 and imo made it a bit better.

Clones are only available for pre-order. The link says no release date yet and the picture is an authentic. Nobody has a clone in their hand yet. They're not even in the mail yet. From any vendor.

Each product (atty, mech mod, etc.) by any of the clone manufacturers has to be judged individually. I've had good luck with Tobeco. Awful luck with HCigar, but that's just my case... I wouldn't dismiss everything they did because of one bad device. that's short-sighted.

However, if you ever want to try to burn off your fingerprint, go buy a Private V2 by HCigar.
