I have 2 of these with the Kbox kit.

I have one built with the DIY coil thing, which I have organic Japanese cotton. The juice I use is Whirling Dervish 18mg. The thing gurgles and snaps and stuff and I get juice on the roof of my mouth. I've tried different wattages and no luck. Any ideas before I throw the Kbox and the Subtank in the rubbish? Tired of messing with it. Coil is .5 ohm

Thanks

Sounds like a wicking issue to me. Make sure when you rewick that it's fairly tight inside the coil, not enough to choke the flow of juice, but tight enough to give a fair amount of resistance when pulling the cotton through the coil. It may take a few tries to get the wicking right, but once you do you'll see the subtanks are really great tanks.
PS. If you decide to throw the subtanks please thow em my way :D

Thing works great for Mallow nation e-liquid. Can vape it at 25W no problem. Problem is I use Vape Orenda Whirling Dervish as my ADV and the piece of crap subtank mini hates the juice. I have no idea why. I'm ready to chuck the thing and just buy another Reo Mini. ZERO aggravation with that thing. Problem is you have to clean it all out if you want different flavors.

If there's a tank out there that has minimal aggravation (and I highly doubt there is, as that is going to take another 200 years) I'm all ears. I had the Kfun and clones and such, hated those. Those are in a landfill somewhere. PIeces of crap. Tired of wasting money on Junk. I have 2 of these tanks and they suck.

And to think I was wanting a Subox Mini... I'm stuck between that and the eVic VTC Mini. My only issue is is I want to rebuild my own coils to save money.

Now when you build your coils and such you are obviously using the rebuidable head that comes with the box? Have you ever tried rebuilding the replaceable heads?

There are just so many options these days. And a few stores are selling via clearance mech mods and even Kayfun clone's for $10!
