Two days ago I started using my Aerotank again after cleaning it in boiling water and throwing a new coil in. I then filled it up with a mix of Central Vapors dragonfruit and watermelon, both of which are nearly perfectly clear (and both 50/50) and after trying to vape using my new v2 airflow ring and old exposed wick dual coils all I got was a slight metallic taste and little to no vapor on pretty much every setting my MVP would work at.

Then the fun started. Throughout the day yesterday I was at a party outdoors and was surrounded by smokers so I desperately needed this to work since my battery was dead in my mech :( but all I was getting was those tight, dry, burnt hits. Then the liquid started turning dark brown, and when the mod was tilted or turned over you could see DARK liquid coming out of the coil area.

Now is there any reason to believe that the new airflow ring only works with the new enclosed wick dual coils? Because I tried two coils and got the same burnt hits.

Here's what clear liquid turned to in a few hours.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

I have an e-liquid ( Ginger Ale ) that does this too. I usually vape all my e-liquids on the same volt/watts but for some reason this is the only one that I can't....I need to turn the volt/watts down.

Good Luck to You...Happy Vaping!!!

I tried from 7.5w (which on a 2.0ohm Aerotank dual coil does next to nothing imho) up to 9.5w, which is my usual setting for all liquids in the Aerotank and nothing gave me good vapor without burning.

Maybe the new airflow ring chokes the wicks somehow? It looks like there's enough clearance between the wicks and the wall of the airflow base though. I'm at my wits end with this tank. First it wasn't reading right on my MVP, jumping anywhere from 2.1 ohm to 9.0ohm when tightened down the same way I've been doing since day one and now this.
