The new Child-Lock Kangertech tank is coming out soon. Is this feature really necessary? I don't but would like your thoughts and opinions. Thanks!

It is absolutely silly.

or maybe it's just ...... jargon. Maybe it's just closing the airflow. Makes for more pocket friendly / leak resistant.

Next we might see the lock ring on mechanical mods being marketed as "Child-Lock".

well it's kind of sad we came to this point. Yes this does appese to eu regulations but is it really necessary? The way i see it is if your child can pick up your device let alone open your tank and get into everything, then its parenting fault. What if they figured out how to fire the thing and you have issues who do you point the finger at. Lets face it if your using some common sense you wouldn't have all your vape crap lying around. Common sense says put it out of reach and out of site. But common sense is uncommon so our government gets this win. I find it a bit ridiculous that others will have to suffer for others down falls. This is one of those 1 step forward 2 steps backwards situations to me.

How hard is it for a parent these days to just say no and hide/keep it out of reach?

I swear, I feel ashamed to grow up in this generation where kids are becoming parents and pass all responsibility to lawmakers to have their children grow up.

As much as I hated it, I have a respect for it as it helped shipped me into the responsible young adult I am today. I miss when kids used to get spanked - now it's child abuse :/

YES I totally agree !

I was brought up in a very traditionalist Euro family where I was simply told NO and we knew that if we disobeyed there would be consequences...We were never touched physically but believe me we dreaded the "consequences" enough not to do it ;)!

Don't see where an internationally sold product dictates any Standards
Just a company responding to Public interest:)

We Drive the Market.:thumb:

Internationally sold products "Comply", so they may be sold internationally.
Money drives...ONLY MONEY.

Kanger is a Chinese company. In China, the english word "Child" is often mistranslated. In China, the natural translation means "Monkey." So this device is clearly designed as a Monkey Lock. Monkeys are notorious for stealing things. This is clearly a product for people who vape and work in zoos or sanctuaries and I am all for it! It's one thing for a monkey to pick up a mod and start vaping it, it's another for a monkey to open that same mod and suck the juice out, which as we know can lead to serious illness, addiction or even death. Do you people want a bunch of sick, addicted monkeys attaching people to get their juice? Do you want to get monkey poop flung at you because some monkey is jonesing for his Strawppleberry Sundae Surprize? Do you want monkeys dying right and left because they OD'ed on nic? Imagine the horror of being in NYC and having dead, escaped monkeys dropping like rain from buildings. I sure don't want that. Not in my America!
