Kanger Evod noob

Hey I'm new to vaping and I dont know
1) What mods are?
2) What is possible to rebuild on a Evod (like what part of the coil) and how to rebuild?
3) Will more Vg blends be bad on my coil due to thickness? (like a 100% Vg blend or 80/20, 70/30, etc..)
3) And how to increase the amount of vapor created on the Evod ( I want to be able to do more tricks without the vapor breaking)?
Thank you to anyone who responds:)

You might get a burnt taste that way. Not all juices like higher volts. Building a micro coil could increase/improve your vapor and taste. Youtube is a great way to learn visually how to build those. Searching for a protank rebuild will work, they use the same type of coils as the Evod. And as far a 100% VG goes, yes it's thicker, so the worst you might experience would be slower wicking, which can result in a burnt taste also.

It's possible to dilute 100 VG with distilled water. If you choose that route, read some threads in the DIY eliquid section and you'll find the best info on that. I think it's 10% or less distilled water, but to be sure, research that.

Welcome to the forums,

1. Mod – Dual usage – Can be used to describe modifications to a device or accessory (such as getting more vapor production out of your cartridges) or a design variation of a commonly manufactured electronic cigarette. In the latter context, mods typically use larger rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries and allow the user longer battery life and increased vapor production but at the cost of the device looking like a traditional cigarette. Many mods will also allow the user to increase or decrease the voltage of their device to achieve optimal performance.

2. Yes and I rebuild them with 1.8 micr coils and much cheaper then buying coils. Plus better flavor.

3. I would stay away from 100% IMO, but I like 30/70 pg/vg.

4. Drill the air hold for better performance.

I messed around a lot with the cheaper tanks...Kanger and the like. Did my first cotton wick on an AeroTank.

It's a good way to learn without causing too much damage for the wallet.

However, IMHO, if you want to have an easy way to increase vapor and taste without messing about, a decent replacable carto style atomizer with a carto tank does the trick.

Runs well on a Twist style battery.

There is 4 holes in the skirt of the tank seen in photo. You can drill them out a little bit. Take a bit that fits in the holes and go one size bigger and start there. Everyone is different. Check the thread too.

Thank you guys so much, do i drill all the way through to the other hole or should i have a specified depth? and does drilling the whole cause more leaks? and how should i adjust my volts for more airflow?
sorry for all the questions, im new to this :p

DO NOT DRILL all the way through.

As stated previously in the thread, just stick the bit that fits in the existing hole, and see how far it goes. You could mark it on the bit you are going to drill with, or you will feel when you need to stop if you are used to using a drill.

Don't worry, it's not hard once you get into it.

The holes I showed are in the skirt of the tank. Tank the tank off the battery, empty tank, remove base and only drill the base, drill the holes out with bit like I mentioned above, only need to go barley through, wash bottom with water, dry, put coil back on, fill tank, and vape.

Vape before and after, if better great. You might have a more airy draw.

Bottom is a skirt see photo.

Hi Frisky! First of all, before you start drilling, what's the resistance of your coils and what voltage are you vaping at? And what is the VG/PG ratio of the juice you're currently using?

You see, I find my eVods to be too airy and I actually often plug one of those air holes that you're planning on enlarging. First try to find the optimal setting for your eVod; if your eliquid is particularly thick--thin it out with a drop or two of distilled water per ml and see it this helps. You can also try removing one (just one) strand of the flavor wick that sits on top of the atomizer coil. But you have to be careful--if you remove too much, your eVod will leak like a sieve.

I'm using a 1.8 ohm coil with about 3.8 volts. I have a 60/40 pg/vg ratio currently. The amount of vapor I get with the evod is nice but i would like a thick white cloud without having to spend on those $400 mods haha
