Love my protank, but just as others have warned, it broke at the threads this evening. I was playing volleyball with the kids at our pool and my ProVari/Protank setup fell out of my pocket. (I was spiking it on my twelve year old daughter. In her face! Lol) Anyhow, I got sand in the mouthpiece and tried to tap it out and it broke. I think it's just going to be one of those things. So word to the wise, If you have a protank and that is what you love to use, buy a couple so you won't be stuck with the vivi nova like I am tonight. Although I have to say, I remove a few wicks and shortened them, set my volts a bit lower, and it's not bad. Thanks to the ECF folks who post all the tips for good vapes. Happy weekend vapers.

You can find websites that sell the three pieces of the Protank for less money that you paid originally. I've seen tanks for as low as $.99 (now $2.99), bases for 1.99, and heads run 1.25 to 1.99, or about $7 or $8 dollars to replace. Keep the beauty ring and spare coil that came with the set. I've broken two protanks by the way. They "explode" rather spectacularly on tile and concrete I think. After the first two losses, and the loss of an eVic as well, I bought the replacement part(s) along with several more kits and I'm a happy camper. Like someone said, the draw is airy, an easy fix by blocking one of the air holes. I just got used to the airy draw myself, until I discovered the evod. Same great flavor, but a much better draw I think. Now I have every color. Personally, I really do prefer the bottom coils over the top coils and vivi novas. It's just a personal preference, though, and all of them beat dripping....I just don't have the time and the patience to drip any more. Anyway, my two cents. Congrats on getting here, welcome to ECF and Good luck to you!

I have not come across anywhere that sells the tank for the Protank. Any suggestions on where I could find one?

Yes, CigTech sells the Protank replacement Tank: Kanger Protank Top Only. Now $3.99. I saw this within the last week and it was initially $.99, then $2.99, now $3.99! Guess they know they have a hot item.
