Nope. Mine works great. I personally haven't heard of a box mod like the Kanger blowing up.

Make sure you stick with a top 16850 battery (Sony, Samsung, etc.) and I would expect you would have no problems for as long as you own it.

Most of the exploding e-cigs I have seen in the media were generally user error and seem to always be modified mechanical devices.

It's a good kit and has venting and a chip or chips to regulate and protect against shorts, overcharge and things.
But just because those safety features are there doesnt mean you can go on and be careless.

Thanks for the link, but the one that i have the Efest
2900 mah is not listed in the presets
As for the Efest Battery, its a re-wrap of a major brand. You never know exactly what it is capable of unless you can test it. In cases of re-wrapped batteries, they usually overstate their stats, so if you have a 2900mah battery, i would use 2500mah. If it says 30amps or 35amps, i would use 20 continuous amps or even go down to 15amps.

I have one of the purple efest 18650 batteries and am comfortable with using it. I don't sub-ohm so don't push the battery up to and past its limits. I don't go over 10 watts on my vv/vw devices and I don't go lower than 1.5 on my coils.

As long as you are not pushing you battery past its limits you should have no worries about it going boom. The accidents you have been hearing about are usually caused by someone making a very dangerous mistake. ie: using the wrong charger or using the wrong topper for their battery but the main thing, I think, is asking more from the battery than it is capable of giving.

Wishing you good luck on your vaping journey.

A battery is only as good as the build on the tank. PaulBHC recommended Steam Engine. Use steam engine to determine what your tank requires. Enter the resistance of your coil head and wattage that you plan to vape at into the Battery Drain Tab. It will calculate the current drain on your battery. The Rule I use for batteries is 50% of the current rating (just me) others say 75%.
LG, Sony, Panasonic, Samsung are top brands stick with then from a reputable supplier (NOT EBAY) and you will be safe
