no reducer needed, pretty happy with the panzer pairing with the subtank. Its not perfect, I think the panzer is .5mm bigger and has a beveled edge but they look good together for tossing in my pocket in with an 18350 or 18490.

With an 18490 its more pocketable than my Atlantis on the CFmod, just wear a good belt as the stubby panzer with a subtank is kinda weighty.

I hear you on the 22 mm reducer the first time I tried to take it off what a chore. I then put a light film of oil on it and now no problems.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try and see if I get lucky. As of now, the damn thing feels like it's became one with the base of the Subtank, lol.

I just picked up the Kanger sub tank on Thursday. Love it....
Also have the Atlantis and just as good.

For the Kanger I am using the 1.2 ohm coil and am vaping at 22w with no trouble. The vape is nice. I wouldn't go lower than 15w or the taste is meh!!!
I have yet to try the 0.5 ohm coil but I would bump that to 40 with no fear. OHHHH but I am using the Sigelei 100w.

For the Atlantis I use my Aspire sub ohm battery.

As for nic levels. I use 12mg on my nautilus but 6mg for the Atlantis.
For the Kanger and the 1.2ohm coil I am using 6 AND 12mg with no issue however onece I go sub ohm on the Kanger I would kick down to the 6mg of nic.
As other responders have said, you will get the dizzys and moving on toward the ticky tummy thing.

How are everyone's threads on their subtanks? Mine is really really rough unscrewing and screwing back on. It squeeks like a 20 year old water spigot and I have to turn pretty hard in several spots. It's not cross threaded, just super bad threading I think. I haven't even used it yet I'm that disappointed. I fear I took three $20 bills out of y wallet and took a lighter to them.

No problems here at all. Why haven't you used it yet:confused:

Threads as smooth as butter here as well. Just out of curiousity, what mod are you putting it on when that happens?

I'm talking about the threads on the bottom cap that screw onto the tank section. Not the 510 connection screwing onto Mod.

I haven't used it yet, because quite frankly I'm disgusted by how ....ty the thread are that it has ruined my excitement for this tank. Probably won't even use it, hence the $60 wasted.

Not to beat you down but paying 60 bucks for a tank and being upset and not using it because of the threads  You don't know what you are missing. You could always talk to whom you bought it from and see if they will replace it just my :2c: Maybe even give it a good wash with dawn dish soap and a good rise in case there is a little grit on the threads. Of course take out the coil.

I'm contacting the shop to inquire about exchanging - because I love the look of this tank. I've inspected the threads, and they look good, but every half turn there is a catch, like something is out of round almost. I don't think washing is going to do anything. Still in the packaging awaiting a response from the B&M I bought if from.

Right behind you...

Mine squeaks AND leaks, so I feel your pain. Actually vaping with it was a disappointment too, it's just too damn warm with the sub-ohm coil in the 20-30w range. Running the 1.2 coil disposable coil down around 15w gets it in the temp range I prefer, as does the RBA with a single coil and 17w or less, but then it falls way behind my Atlantis in flavor and vapor.

Doesn't squeak on the 510, it squeaks and has variable effort screwing the base to the tank. And did I mention mine leaks around the bottom glass, even after several cleanings and fiddling with the o-rings? The glass will spin fairly freely, and there's no way to get the base tight enough to stop the spinning or leaking.

I love the way it looks, like the amount of "stuff" that comes with it for the price, and I'm glad it gave the Atlantis some serious competition and opened up integrated RBA heads for the market. Just wish mine didn't suck.

That's my feeling..just wish it worked as designed. Might have to wait a week or so until the next best thing comes out lol

yeah sadly thats kangers quality control. i have 2 protank3s same thing. its the threading isn't done right or something.

on a side note, watch out using the cotton for the RBA, that comes in the bag along with the tank. it smells of wd40 like chemical, and has black oil spots in it. i have 2 subtanks one straight from kanger and 1 i won in a fb raffle both are real. and both bags smell awful.

get atlantis for your mech mod

subtank for your regulated mods

Aaah, this is the answer I was looking for! I got the Atlantis in December and I was using it on my Evic Supreme until I got my box mods (Cigreen Crossing). The Atlantis is amazing on the box so I expected the Subtank to be as well, but it is snapping juice onto my tongue and I am getting dry hits as often as good hits. I am charging up my Evic right now to see if I have better luck with a regulated mod and where that sweet spot is. I really want to like this tank!

So far the sub tank has been a love hate relationship. The coils burn easy and I'm not even taking them all the way up. I hit 24 watts and then two hits later the burnt taste pops up. This is with the standard occ coils at .5 ohms. I've always had burnt taste from kanger products. Don't get me started on that cheap housing and poorly done rba section. And yes it's 50/50 juice I'm using.

I went, got 24 gauge kanthol and did a 2mm bore 7 wrap rebuild on the stock coils. No burnt hit and the vape is ape. O and don't forget to tuck that cotton. O yeah using organic Japanese cotton. It came out between .6 and .7 on the build. I can turn her up to 30 watts. Hits like a champ.

While I'd tell you it's a poor product wrapped up to look killer I'd be lying if something didn't come out of it all that which is brilliant. Kanger dumped the stem job coils so those who are religious to the diy rebuild coils have a awesome little metal box to have fun with. In any case I think the way the coils are wrapped stock creates hot spots. The cotton is machine oil smelling as with everything. A design change is needed for the chimney so that they screw on and off for easy changing. I mean that would have been obvious and not rocket science with kanger techs ease of use.

I'd have to say though I like it... Despite the kinks. I've done several builds for the RDA and they just weren't all that because of airflow even with vertical coil builds. I'll tell you if I find anything more out but simply my observations and opinion at this time putting it through testing... Very very indepth testing.
