Kanger T2 wick set up - Any one play with these? Getting burnt taste over 3.5v

The best bet with these is moving the sleve up and fraying the wicks some just twist it the wrong way and pick at it to fluff it. I am interested in removing the sleve entirely how do oyu avoid it leaking. Wouldn't juice come out if you tip it without the sleeve in place.

I don't get it. I'm having amazing performance out of my T2's. In fact, I ordered 6 more and the new ones work just as well as the first 2 I got. Very odd. I haven't had to do anything to them other than fill em up and vape.

Got mine from ivape.net. They call their version (may even be a knockoff?? don't know) the ego Sunfire. Stumbled across them before I had even heard of the Kanger T2.

For me, the big problem remains to be the mouthpiece. Cracked mouthpieces will cause leaking no matter what you do.

I'm betting you have a knock off or an older version. that problem apparently was corrected some time ago.

They might be physically stronger, but it takes less than 5 minutes for my sweet tart juice to turn that black plastic mouthpiece into a disintegrating pile of mush. I'm not put off by this, since I like the vape, so like a true CE2 lover, my next attempt is, and it works well



Used a pump bottle from mad vapes and made my own tube and mouthpiece. Holds 3.4 ml now.

Only on the inside. A tube on one of mine gave way, so I took the metal components (base) and reused it. One of my main objectives in the whole process was to replace the mouthpiece. The inner diameter of the pump bottle was a perfect size. Pulled out the pump mechanism from the cap and drilled a 5/16 hole in the cap for a drip tip. Cut the length proper so that when the tube was pushed down onto the base, the height was so that the metal tip would fit into the bottom of the drip tip, and the silicone cap provides the seal, just like the T2 originally had. Adheezed (yes, there's that word) everything but the screw cap. Now, to fill, I simply unscrew the top cap and squirt my juice in as always.

the big issue with this style of clearomizer is, as already said, wicking

the big issue with trying to talk about and trouble shoot this style of clearomizer is, how do you vape?

many people vape vertical, horizontal, or something in between or all of the above. and many people aren't even aware of how they vape.

I think this contributes a ton to the "this doesn't work for me" vs "mine work great" phenomenon.

Vaping angle, juice viscosity and wattage is 80% of it I think. Position of the silicon sleeve maybe 20% at most.

Just my pennies.

EDIT: Not to mention vape pace. 10 hits in a minute? 10 hits in an hour? Length of hit? Speed of draw? etc...

+1 on pulling up the silicone sleeve a bit and tightening the head on the center post in the tank. Bad, airy taste and the tightening fixed that. Little to no flavor and pulling up the sleeve fixed that. The sleeve works well; the position of it not being where it should sounds like a quality control issue during the building process, but the sleeve itself is ok. In my opinion, not really a fiddling nightmare, just a thing to watch for on a fresh coil (no more finicky than blowing out the primer on a new atty). Still like them much better than the Stardusts. Vaping away happily on 80% VG at ~4.6 V on a 2.6ohm (metered) head.

All this T2 talk got me wanting to give these a try.
I ordered the short wicks with catch cup, but I've noticed many reviews that prefer the longer wicks.
I wont have mine for another day or two, but will report back of any findings.

So what is everyones personal preference as far has short/long wicks and what, if any, differences have you noticed?

That makes me wonder what is OEM or knock-offs?

Someone asked about Sunfire versus T2. My understanding is that they're the same, just a marketing thing by the companies that sell them under that name (like Vision Ego 1.6ml Clearomizers versus Stardust which GotVapes, I think, coined).

My feeling is that long wicks are best simply because you can trim to what you like. If you get them short and end up preferring them long, you're SOL. The one I have seems to be a nice balance between the length of the long wicks on the stardust and the stubby design. It looks to wick most types of juices better for some reason. The T2 with the "catch" ring below the wicks appears to be an older version which I understand didn't do a great job at improving wicking over the typical CE-2 design. The tip about fraying the ends of the wicks appears to be a good one and I've seen this do wonders for the stardusts and no as, as well.

The one thing I do find that helps on all of these clearomizer types is to occasionally unscrew the cap and re-tighten to release some of the pressure that builds inside the tank. I do this and I find I get a smoother pull, better wicking and better flavor. Finicky - yes, but not horrible - I can live with it.

Would like to re-coil/re-wick these (just got some supplies) and see what it vapes like.

I agree about building up pressure/vacuum in the clearo. This happens to me when using my carto tanks and I have to unscrew the little thumb screw from time to time as it helps to get things working again like they are suppose to.

I get the whole name thing, but what had me wondering was the package of the heads being different. This could account for some problems people are/may be experiencing.
I've seen 2 types: foil blister packs & individual bubble pack. I cant see a company changing packages, so I was wondering what is OEM and what's knock-off. Who knows, maybe the knock-offs are better or worse.
