Kanger T3/T2 tanks slight leaking/slurping?

I kind of posted this in relation to the iTaste thread I just posted, but I figured this was its own separate issue.

I just used a Kanger T3 out of the box, it was my first one and I wasn't too sure how to fill it, so I went on youtube and found a video like I try to do before asking questions. I realize now what bottom fed meant, the video tutorial though said to fill it up until your desired line, screw the base back on, and drip a drop or two down the tip and let it slide down, so as to soak the wick from the top I guess.

This is my first night using it, tinkering with the iTaste VV and using the T3, eventually I got a slurping sound, and a small amount of juice on the battery already. I'm wondering if this means a. I shouldn't have followed the instructions to drip a few drops in the tip, b. the tank was fake or crappy/defective, or c. if this happens on average with these tanks. I've had this happen on some of the T2's I've bought so I have a few flavors at once, so I'm not sure if it's something I just have to deal with, or if there are ways to approach this while preventing the potential flooding.

I'm not sure what other info to give, but if you need more details, ask away and I'll answer as I can. Thanks.

if it was filled properly and everything else is okay with the t2/3's. Your issue may be more on the user error side when vaping. I see your join date here is recent, are you new to vaping? the most common issue new vaper's have is inhaling properly. unlike a cig where the stronger you inhale the better it hit, with vaping a softer inhale similar to breathing will yeild better results. plus most tank systems work on a pressurized system to bring juice to the coil so the harder you pull the more juice flows. excess juice will only be able to go one of two ways, up the mouth piece or out the bottom where it connects to the battery.

Never heard of dripping liquid down the drip tip... although a lot do put a drop or two on the wicks before putting the base back onto a filled tube.

Sometimes what you describe can be caused by too thin a juice, although most of mine are 80/20 PG/VG and I rarely have that issue.

Kangers (and most BC clearos, it seems) do like to be full, and some have the gurgles when really low.

Sometimes too hard a draw can pull excess juice up, with the same result.

And I've had the occasional new head with mis-aligned flavor wicks, and they will leak.

Some have reported success in changing the amount of flavor wick, or taking it completely out. Probably most helpful with the thicker juices.

Hope one of these works for you!

Hi fcon. I use Kanger MT3S clearos and slight gurgling when the tank gets low is somewhat normal. I've never put drops down the center tube and try to keep the center tube clear from any fluid. When I refill, I use Qtips to swap out the tube, so I don't get juice in my mouth. So far, that practice has worked great for me. As was said, I had to learn that vaping was different from smoking and long, slow draws were key and gave me the best flavor and vape experience. Also, every time I refill the clearo, I make sure the coil is screwed firmly to the base because for some reason they can loosen up. I don't want the connections to be tight, but not over-tight. I've not had a real flooding issue, except when I didn't check the tightness of the coil or tried drawing too quickly.

I hope it works out for you. The MT3S has been a good clearo for me. Keep the vape and namaste.

I have 2 x T3S. Been using them on basic @work batteries for 6 months. I guess in that time, I've had 3/20 bad replacement heads.

I don't drip down the metal air tube, it's not necessary but can be good sometimes (1 or 2 drops) if you are in a hurry to vape. Certainly never drip down the mouthpiece...

Nearly all of them gurgle on low juice. The really leaky heads get extra wick. Sometimes a liquid is just too thin or the wick is not thick enough to plug the 2 juice holes.

I'm pretty new to vaping, off cigarettes for a month and a week, so my experience is limited but from what I have gathered from reading up on many things is that this is relatively normal. For instance I've read that you do need to swab your batter for maintenance to get a certain amount of expected juice off of the connection and that from condensation or flooding you will get some juice up the tube. If you over fill the tank that will make it gurgle and you will get some in your mouth. If you're getting a lot of juice on your battery make sure everything is sealed up well and that all the little O-rings are in place. After reading the responses on your post I wonder if I'm pulling to hard when I vape and that's why I'm getting more gurgling so I'll have to play with that.
