1. I love the toptank.

2. I buy more coils than any normal sane person (stocking up for the zombie apocalypse/European legislation).

I vape some of the different types (0.5, 1.2 etc) and find them all good, except for the Nickel, which are a bit strange on some temp control mods.

At 30w I'd definitely stick with the 0.5ohm Kanthal SSOCC.
BUT, if the temp control is working for you, then you enjoy!

I do not rate the old OCC above the SSOCC and most shops have stopped selling them. You can rebuild the old OCC (which is good!) but they are inferior now i.m.o.

Toptank is basically just a subtank with topfill, which is why it's so great. That's the reason why I like the subtank so much, it's a year old but keeps getting better as the days go on. Kangertech is sticking with a foolproof, proven, design and doesn't just release 10 new tanks every month.

The old horizontal coils were pretty good at the time and imo set the standard for flavor on sub ohm coils, I believe they were the first who used cotton for wicking. Granted the vertical coils put out more vapor and maybe a little bit more flavor, but they tend to spit from time to time and need more watts.
