Holy moley! Took me half a day to track down this thread. Really expected it would be dead. Very glad it's not! Looks like I've got me some larnin to do. I have my first STM on it's way along with a couple dozen various Kanthal and NI200 coils, 2 V2 RBAs, 5 V1 RBAs and several packs of replacement seals. Guy thought he had 2 tanks but could only find one. Still feel great about trading an untouched Aspire Quadflex kit for all I'm getting.

Not really looking to replace my current fave tanks but I've been curious about the STM for a long time after listening to most of my forum pals rave about them for a looooong time before they finally moved on to next latest and greatest.

So looks like I've got about 160 some pages to whiz thru and I'll catch y'all at the other end.

Hiya VL! shoulda knowed you'd be here.

LOL You really don't need to read all of those pages........

Just watch a couple of you tube videos and you will find out all you need to know....These are so easy to build and wick. Almost fool-proof.

Oh yeah I kinda figger it ain't a whole lot more to 'em than my old egrip RBA or the kanger coils or Lemos or my current fave CLRs. But there's always little tips n tricks that long term users pickup along the way. Guess I could always just come back and ask if I hit any bumps in da road.

Ya know I really don't like most tanks with a lotto glass but somehow I've always thought the STM is a really sharp looking tank.

Just LOOKS like it means business!

First question just popped into my mind. Is there any reason I would NOT want to mount the STM on my eGo ONE Mega or eGo ONE VT batteries? They're subohm batteries and the VTs do a rudimentary form of TC with Ni or Ti. I do have more appropriate mods but I got these batts practically for free and really like the 22mm tube shape so I've parked my Picos and Smok R-steam mini in favor of these.

I don't see why not. You can put any type of wire in these so.... All of mine have a 0.50 ohm in them and they vape like a champ. But they also are Kanthal wire.
Maybe you could try?

:)

I have this one on a mega pico but its in power mode.

My STM works so well, I have nothing that I need advice on...how awesome. It's given me the least problems of any tank I own. I'll still hang around the thread though.[emoji4]

Same here.

I can recoil/wick a STM RBA in a couple of minutes and no matter how I do it, the tank never leaks/dry hits.

I bought a bunch of bases and bell caps from FT, so I am set for a long time!

Which bell caps did you buy for your STM shorties? I'd prefer the 30mm ones, but there's hardly any to choose from. So, I have some of each of these in my cart now. Have read their reviews, discussions, etc., and don't foresee any problems with them.

$7.35 Acrylic SUBTANK Mini Bell Cap (6 Pieces) - 38mm / ships one of each color at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

$1.47 Acrylic SUBTANK Mini Bell Cap - translucent / 37.5mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Do you see anything I might be missing about them? They look to be fine IMO.

I have a bunch of the STM and even more of the TTM, as well as some extra bases and RBA Plus. So I should be set if I get the bell caps above hopefully.

I'm confused. Are the bell caps used instead of the glass?
And which size is for the stm. The 38 mm or the 37.5mm?
