Well i splurged and got the Kanger Subtank Mini Yesterday. The only tank i had was the Aspire Atlantis. I kept seeing reviews that the Kanger had more flavor. Well, it does. The Atlantis has a different flavor and much more airflow. Just look at the comparison of the chimney openings of the 2 tanks.
I'm not sure which one i like better. I feel i need to use the Kanger at lower wattage than the Atlantis because it's just hotter. I can use the Atalntis at 20w, but keep the Kanger at 15w.

Yeah same thing here...Vaped the Atlantis since Christmas and got the Subtank Saturday. The flavor is much more pronounced in my mini-sub and it seems to be more energy friendly. I vape DIY butterscotch and have for a long while so I'm very accustomed to the Flavor notes it offers. The Atlantis let the Dominate notes through while muting the background notes. The Mini-Sub does a good job of allowing the entire flavor profile to shine through. I plan on trying the cotton BVC's when they reach my B&M but for now the Atlantis is shelved...

I just dremmeled my channels out on the RBA section a little last night. I was having constant wicking issues and dry hits. Since I did it I haven't had a single dry hit. Currently running a 0.5 ohm, 5 wrap spaced 25ga kanthal, 2.5mm id, wicked with Delasco Rayon balls. At 35-38w, depending on juice and airflow, on my new istick50, I'm having no issues.

Yes, I did that a couple of weeks ago. It wicked quite well after that. I think I have also learned to wick it better than when I first got it as well. I started out wicking it similar to the Kfun, but now just cut the wicks flush with the deck surface and keep them out of the juice channel at the deck. No dry hits at all.

i have a mini i bought 3 weeks ago and another last week, both wick holes are cut right thru on both mini's
as for wicking ive been posting exactly what u posted, that is to not wick like a kayfun - do not stuff a bunch of wick onto the deck.
i keep my tails short to just touch the deck and keep wick holes clear

I asked this in an earlier post but I don't think anyone answered. Can the 510 pin from the 25mm ST be used in the 22mm? The mini's seem to have an issue connecting with the rDNA40, the spring loaded pin on the 25mm seems like it would solve that.

Sorry Randy, I don't have a SubTank 25mm so don't know the answer to that one. I would think others here may have started with the ST 25mm and may know.

Nice wick job Vincom! That works perfect for me with the JC....and hopefully with the Cotton Bacon I should have in tomorrow. If it taste like Bacon, I'm going to be really ticked off!:?:

Got a second Subtank Mini from Sweet Vapes along with some black O-rings. Subtank mini RBA deck has the old style clear insulator which is weird.

Is it safe to use it? I heard there were issues with taste/cracking etc... Not sure why I didn't get one with the peek insulator since the one I got a week and a half ago from a different site had the newer tan one in it.

Tempted to email them about it.

Well you can always order the tan insulator from them if you dont feel safe. They are .50. Mine has the clear insulator, and is perfectly fine.

I'll give it a shot then and see how it does. They have replacement ones for the 25mm but not the Nano so.. who knows lol. Thanks. Worse case I can just rebuild the OCC Heads if need be.

I got mine from sweet vapes too. Abiut 2 weeks ago. Has the clear insulator as well. I am using it and have had no issues. The site does say they have both and leave msg i comment section if you have a preference. I asked for tan and got clear. So far, so good though...
