No wheeze vaping 9-12 ml a day. 50/50. Using RBA on both the STmini and the Delta II. Nic strength is 12. I did just order 70vg/30pg @ 6 on the nic level...I think with the output of these new tanks I can make the drop in nic level fairly smoothly. Just so you know, I started at 36 on the nic level 2 years ago. So I will be happy to stay on 6 for quite some time.

I DIY and have been for most of my 2 years vaping.

Should I be seeing bubbles rise on Both sides or will the rba have a dominate side? Thx

David, I don't know if it should...but mine seems to have a dominate side as well. Not sure if it just from the angle of tipping of the tank or what. Does not seem to cause any wicking issues.

Mine does too...Like yours though, it isnt affecting its performance...Just seems odd but then again even the smallest difference in channels can tip the path of least resistance... I Guess:confused:

Here's my pics of my modded RBA deck. Wife's stock RBA deck left. My modded RBA deck right. Sorry for the iPhone 4S quality and lack of focus. Rum runners are involved.

Wicked with Cellucotton. That wick is WAY thinned out from what I pulled through. She's happy, no dry hits, on the next one I'll thin it a little more on the next rewick in a week or so.

Thanks for this pic unk, glad it's working better for ya. Maybe I'm lucky, I can hammer chain mine at 25w with the stock channels....65vg juice, chunky wicked w/ kgd and no tail thinning.

Better quality and focus than my Kyocera takes :p

Do you use high VG juice? Is that why you modded it? I'm considering doing something similar with mine.

FWIW I think it comes down to how you coil/wick your RBA than anything. I have the stock juice channels (one on the left in the pic above) and I use our local shops juice. Amazing stuff. Anyway, all the juice I vape is Max VG and unless I screw up the wick, it does just fine. I run at between 24 and 26 watts (depending on juice) and it keeps up just fine, no problem.

Congrats bro. Yeah, getting the density squared away with loose fiber is a b!!tch. Gotta keep juice channels clear but enough chunky to get ya there.

Hey, be a pal. post a pic! Will ya?

:D

Good luck vj.

p.s. I use plenty of media, more than most. Chunky! Tuck it between the posts to allow clear screw on for the housing. Gently pull it out then and gingerly fluff and coax it back down towards the juice channels. Reason is I want the wick pushin' up, pressin' up against the top of the end turns, always. It will collapse with weight when juiced. Not enough support there from the tail and the end turn's exposed. Your res will go high, vape hot and the proverbial gunked up. Then you'll be b!!tchin' at me why the damned microcoil don't work. Just sayin'. Keep it pouffy.

:D

Ooooo tucking it between the posts is a great idea. this is the first time I was able to screw the chimney on without pulling the wick up and the trimming it. I wet my wick a lil before putting the chimney on, also a first... Worked well... I am stoked, I was able to use the same technique with my egrip rba tonight with the best results in over a month... :) I did not take pics :( maybe next round :) THANKS again for all the help and encouragement...
btw, I am a Sis!, not a bro.. lol... -Veronica :)

Thanks for tellin' me. Don't tell them, but you can wind circles around us V.

:D

Good luck and glad the tip worked for you. I'm really most concerned about that end turn contact. That's what most easily fouls the vape with cotton or rayon, is losing that good wick contact. Any wick really. Pouffy is good!

Not a lefty (except politically), but definitely switch from hand to hand. Once I saw bubbles I quit paying any real attention...but my gut registered that one channel seemed to be dominate. All I know is the wick is being fed just fine. Since opening the channels a bit at the top where they meet the wick deck I have never had a flow issue after that. I also know that part of that is due to better wicking technique. When you change two things at once it's a bit hard to know which was the solution eh?
