What if they were enlarged? Possible? Possibley.

Frankly I don't understand the "why"...

This is one of the most free flowing tanks on the market right now. I think it is a very close second to the Atlantis (which I own), and many say is the best airflow out there.

What is your issue with the slot on the STM? What other tanks have you tried, or do you own for comparison, and to help us help you?

It can make great clouds, but isn't for cloudchasers... perhaps you would be better suited with an RBA known for awesome airflow like the MutationX or similar.

Interesting I searched last night and couldn't find any info on it. Thanks!

I wonder what changes were made, and if they'll make a mini v2

I guessing they are referring to the subtank plus.

Looks like in stock here:
http://www.myvaporstore.com/Kangertech-Subtank-Plus-Hybrid-Tank-p/krstb-k.htm

I wouldn't be surprised by a new mini but probably not so soon. The subtank plus just fixes the issues with the OG subtank, corrects airflow and uses mini RBA.

damn this rba section is driving me crazy, some days i can get it working properly, otherdays its a crapshoot
i know max vg juices are my issue, but still :p
i think this tank is just too finicky for me :( maybe a goblin is more up my alley, but i prefer single coil
delta 2 looks pretty good too, but just found out its chromed brass apparently

I bought my last mini from here - $29.99 shipped:
Vape Super Saver

In stock and free shipping too! That's nice.

On the earlier link to the subtank V2 it said something about SS/Black. Now a black mini would be nice... I think I will wait a lil bit on a 2nd!

Then again, maybe not... but I did just drop nearly $80 on eliquid this week! LOL!

What coils are you using? What Wattage? What wicking? Tell us more so that we might be able to help!

Got a pic you can post?

I vape 80-99% VG only and I have very little issues with my RBA so far.

i'll post a picture in a second, but i've tried normal 28, normal 26, twisted 30, twisted 28, twisted 26, all from .5 to 1.5 ohm
usually trying to run 20-25 watts
can't tell you exactly what vg% but from what i've heard from the manufacturer, all their max vg juices are 70% ish
i'll try and get a photo up now

It might help us to make build or wick suggestions.

On another note, how do you like the OCC's?

the 2 i got with the tank were dry and nasty from the get go (yes i primed them), haven't picked up any more as i bought this with rebuilding in mind

forgot to mention, this is just a standard 26g micro coming out to .9 ohm wicked with koh gen do (both outside layers removed), 2.4mm
double edit: you'll also notice one of my screws is off center making it a pain to catch wire (just my luck)

if i cut them any shorter they don't really bend down and touch the deck. Am I correct in assuming I should be pushing the top part of the wick down? or should I just be cutting the wick to length and fluffing it out (sorta like rip's pancake method but not quite)
Also, what is your take on skinning/deskinning koh gen do? I find that in my magma i get better results with the skin left on, but with the sub. mini it makes the cotton harder to play with

thanks for the help tho, rewicking right now with a little less cotton

outside the box
vertical coil with fuzzy wick is gooood

just got to the end of the first tank full using the stock rba I got a couple days back, wicks well, flavor is really good and maybe getting better, vapor is good.

Running the 1 ohm triple 30 gauge 2.8mm id coil at 20w now, been to 25 with no issues but it starts to get hot.

edit: Juice is 6mg 50/50 DIY fruit punch.. really liking this build, tyvm SamH94 for bringing it up.

I'm still learning on this RBA but this hasn't failed me yet... I just wrap 3mm coils since that seems to work best so far for this tank. I also use max VG btw. I've used 26 and 28 gauge, but I prefer 28 to save battery life. I wrap it about 7-9 times so it fits right in there perfectly without having to mess with leads or anything since I'm a lazy vaper. Now this is where I have different performance issues compared to a lot of other people here. I take the Japanese OC with both skins attached and cut it to about 5 - 6 mm. I tried jamming so much in there to the point where I almost jacked my coil since that's been recommended here but it just wouldn't work. I went through a couple of days of alternating between flooding and dry hits. Honestly, I don't care for anything that involves breaking in. I just want to rewick and vape and not get mad because cigs probably taste better than my vape. So I found roughly 2x ID (like 6mm) works great. I fluff it out and cut it so it just barely touches the deck when it's dry. It almost looks like I cut too much. Then I juice it and put the chimney on. I then tuck it down just very gently and away from the juice inlets. I have an IPV mini so I'm not sure of the correct resistance but it's reading at 1.1 ohms and I'm at 24W with no dry hits since I went back to this method. Actually I do have to take the first probably 5 vapes at 20 - 22 W and then I'm good. I usually start getting the dryish taste if I go above 25W with my normal 3-4 lung hits on the two hole setting. I prefer the two hole for the warmth and flavor. I'm not knocking anyone's methods, but the really thick cotton method just wasn't working for me at all. I just wicked it like I always have with RDAs (ID wise) and its holding up great. As always YMMV. I'll upload some pics next time I have to rewick.
