Does the 1.2 really use less juice than the .5? I might have to give it a second chance.
How much juice you use is mostly dependent on how many watts you push. The more watts the more vapor volume and the more juice you use. Since you can get a great vape on a 1.2 OCC at lower wattages you will use less juice AND your battery will last longer. I know if I run a .5 OCC my iStick 30W will not get me through the day. If I run a 1.2 OCC it will.
Also I have a mini AND a nano both. As a test I put a .5 OCC in my mini and a 1.2 in my Nano. For the most part it seems I refill each tank just about as often. As far as vape quality I enjoy one as much as the other so it is a no brainer for me. Now of course which coil gets used when my vape buds come over?... YEP you guessed it... the .5! ;-)
