To be honest, I haven't payed much attention to the voltage reading. I've just been checking ohms with new coils (which seems to be accurate) and adjusting wattage until comfortable.

Try setting it on 7W, you shouldn't notice any difference from 15W, because at either of those settings it is not regulating voltage, just dumping battery.

If you would like to be around 15W, try building your coil closer to 1.1-1.2 ohm. That way your device is actually regulating voltage.

So the voltage inaccuracy with the IPV Mini 2 comes into play with sub-ohm coils?

I guess you could say that. You just have to know the device isn't magic, and stay within the specs, basically just keep it over 3.6V and it should be regulating voltage. The unfortunate thing about those boards is there is no indicator on screen when the device isn't regulating voltage.

Happy to report having much better luck with lower nic and higher VG. If you can do lower than 70vg and higher than 3mg with this tank then God bless ya! Hopefully the leakage subsides, I'm thinking via the air holes it has to be through the OCC coil somehow. I have it screwed in as snug as possible :)

I must be a wimp :) 6mg was just whoaaa! LOL. Never ever thought I'd get off 12! Crazy.

Same here...

I used 10-12 in a Protank 2 (with aerotank v1 base) for well over a year. Got my first ST mini 3-4 weeks ago and wow... reduced nic to 8, then 6, now at 5 and thinking I need to go down some more. So, in less than a month, I've effectively doubled the longevity of my nic stash. yeehaa

Also, I must be charmed... because I've had zero problems with this ST mini. No leaks, no dry hits, no nothin'. I used the 1.2Ω OCC first, wicked the RBA and it worked really well right out of the gate, recoiled and rewicked the OCC and it works great too. The included 0.5Ω OCC is still unused.

I feel for all the peeps with problems with these, but mine has been the single best topper I've ever had.

Agreed about best topper ever owned, I liked the full size so much I went out and got a mini. Now I use occ's in my full size and the rba in my mini. Neither tank has given me a problem

Picked up another STmini today. Its the newer one that comes with the black o-rings in the box. I noticed the air intake has a sleeve around it now, interesting. I wonder if that will be beneficial.

Where's the air intake sleeve? Is it on the OCC itself?

Its in the base itself, notice on the above pic the airflow intake, all you see is metal instead of the 510 pin contacting the OCC coil base.

I think the 510 pin is slightly different too, I will have to compare it to my older STmini.
