For that matter I still get tripped up on the distinctions between United Kingdom. Britain and England (-:

Different member countries apparently have different rates.
All online orders I've made in the past from the UK have not had the VAT assessed.
Same thing with orders placed to Germany and Sweden.
So with respect to the VAT, as a consumer in the U.S. I don't see a difference 'tween EU and UK.

Please tell me this does not make me an "ugly American" (-;

Haha not at all, it just goes to show how much of a rip off the uk is with 20% tax.

So quick question, I'm looking to recoil 2 things and possibly a third when I buy it.

Plume veil at 0.5ohms

kayfun @ 1.3ohms (havnt got this yet)

What gauges would I use to do this?

I just got on Amazon and got a roll of 28 gauge and 30 gauge wire. About 6USD each. Looking at the chart above:

28 gauge is about .3mm
30 gauge is about .25mm

The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire. For a household lamp, the electrical wire is about 18 gauge in the U.S. and 1.0mm.
