Kanthal VS Nichrome

for those into re buildable attys,everybody wants kanthal and as a result it is almost impossible to find now

why is everybody using kanthal ??

or am i asking a question that will result in subjective answers ??

It is more robust.

Nichrome expands when heated, Kanthal does not
Nichrome burns out when there is a short, Kanthal does not
These are the main 2 points that has lead me to use kanthal.
