Kanthal wire holder?

Okay so maybe this is obvious to others but I can't find this thingy...

So I've seen videos of people building coils and they have a neat tool or accessory holding there kanthal to the spool.

It's white. It clips into the spool. Just keeps the whole thing from unwinding. What is it? Where can I get one?

I have no idea, but I just use some tape lol.

Heh if I'm not entirely mistaken, it's a piece of standard issue eraser cut to size. Eraser-something. Rubbery something. Not quite sure exactly what it's called. Stuff used to erase pencil thingies.

Oh yeahh like in school. I guess I had only seen pink ones of those. But maybe a few white ones here and there. Might just be

I'd like to find some better way of holding the wire to the spool also. I generally have my wire end all wrapped and tied around to try and keep things tight. I would say at least once a week though the wire end slips through my finger and 50ft of kanthal unwinds onto my living room floor. Doh!

I just keep the wire tucked into the little notch on the spool. It annoys me to no end though. Every. Single. Time the wire stops just short of that and I have to unwind it to get it in there. So I always have this long wire sticking out of spool.

i use a cut piece of white eraser stuck in the spool walls.

Just drill 3 more holes in the spool.

That's what I did, works for me.
