Question, if I used 28 gauge kenthal say 5 wraps how many ohms would the coil be? Looking to acheive 1.2- 1.5 ohms.

it depends on the amount of wire, 5 wraps around what? sorry if i havent looked at your previous posts, so i dont lnow what you are wrapping. if you are wrapping a wick for a genesis atty, lets say an aga or equal, then you are close, i use 28g and do a 5 wrap to get a resistance around 1.0 to 1.1, but thats my wicks specific diameter.

I'm not an electrical genius myself either. Bookmark any Ohm's Law calculator and start plugging numbers in.
batteries have a mah rating -milliamp hours . The fewer amps you draw from the battery - the longer the charge lasts.
Example:------------------------------- Compared to:
5 volts with----------------------------- 3.7 volts with
3 ohm coil draws ----------------------1.64 ohm coils draws
1.67 amps for a total of-------------- 2.25 amps for a total of
8.33 watts ------------------------------8.33 watts

Both should produce the same vape experience .The higher voltage setup uses ~25% less battery power.

Hope that makes sense .

i am not to sure that the outcome of the two examples would vape the same, if both examples are using the same wire then one example will have quite a bit more wire on the wick, that will produce a different vape right there, also in my opinion a coil that has more volts going into will also affect the taste, a 5 volt, more wrapped coil is going to be hotter over more lenght of the coil, vaporizing the juice differently compared to a lower voltage, less wrapped coil. this is just my findings when trying this particular question. the wicks are metal and now matter how well oxidized there is a certain flavor of metal imparted in vape, and different amounts of coils and volts can make flavors, and characteristics of vapor different. imo just because the watts are equal, doesnt make the vaping experience equal. you will eat more battery with a lower resistant coil for sure.

let's say I want to wrap a coil 3-4 times on an RBA with SS mesh and want a resistance of about 1.5 ohms, will 30 or 32 wire work better?

it depends on how wide your wick is. but most likely 30.
you need to know how long of a piece of wire youll be using. kanthal info is available online and it will tell you how many ohms per foot. just do some calculations to get the ohms per inch and youre golden.
