2 days of using this and my battery indicator is still full. I'm so tempted to buy another one, but I'm trying to put the hammer down on spending. I can get another one on ejuices for $57. Is the chip replaceable? What's the expected longevity of this mod? I would think a long time since it's a no frills mod.. just watts.

I ended up getting 12 days of battery life!
I like this mod so much I ordered a 2nd but in obsidian black. After 3 weeks of neglect, my doggys were finally let out of the kennel.
Perhaps this is a match made in the stars. Looks damn good!

12 days????? LOL!!!! I love it.

A Yihi would have drained out if you just left it sitting for that long, without ever taking a vape! ;)

Wow. Could buy 4-5+ double barrels for the price of one Yihi X. Damn those things are enormous. The SL has a nice look to it, but damn.. that looks too fancy for me. Might have to study for 1 semester to be able to use it.

I love the ML, but it's heavier than the DB, believe it or not. I'm not much for the models that came later.

Like you, I'm not much of a tinkerer. I just want to push the dang button and grunt with satisfaction. Simpleton, aye.

I do like to tinker, just not with mods. I just want to press a button and get a quality vape and not have to think about it. Actually.. going from a mech to a "fancy" regulated like the Solo or DB requires less tinkering to get what I want. I really had to dial it in with a mech to get the perfect vape, and quality vape over the decreasing battery voltage. Now.. well, I build like I've always built my RTAs.. it's just that I can adjust the wattage up or down, at ease, instead of having to build a new coil if it isn't working. The Double Barrel is simply perfect for a simpleton such as myself as well. Ugga dugga press button get vape. Vape good.

A sad goodbye to a trusted friend.
I bought my TAC-21 in early November of 2018 and it was the toughest, longest lasting mod I have ever owned in 5 years of vaping.
That thing got dropped and kicked around on construction sites. I could see juice floating around in the LED readout. It was my daily for almost a full year. It never quit.
I was kayaking down the Rio Grande last weekend and I had the mod in what turned out to be a worthless dry bag stuffed into a PFD pocket.
I capsized and when I made it to shore and pulled the bag out it was doing quite a good job of holding river water inside the bag.
I've had that thing drying in the sun all week but she's finally met her match.

If my first ever "real" mod, my Beloved steampunk Tesla 120 nano died I would be so sad. It has taken a beating for so long (and had so much eqliuid leaked down thought it) WELL I finally retired just so it would not die (it was my mod for RTA basic training and trust me it SUFFERED.)

Every now and then I pull it out and vape it and go, "What a great vape" and put it away.

RIP. Bury it under your favorite tree in the yard as a, IDK lightning deterrent or something. Although many children's books have also left me with impression it might spout vape gear or something. That would be cool, too.

You had much better luck with your 120 than I did. I owned three of those things prior to the 220 coming out and on all three the battery door eventually just wouldn't stay closed.
Strangely, my steampunk 220 went out of service on the river last year. It didn't go in the river but it started doing this thing where would only work with certain batteries.
But that tac21 always worked.

Took a while but finally jumped on the db bandwagon.
View attachment 861089 Unfortunately I'm enjoying using the db3 and had to order a couple more.
I stopped at two, this time .
Vapor Range had (has??) a 20% off New Year’s sale, so I grabbed another Detonator and a second rba Squad. Don’t know if they have DBs left. Also....In case anyone ever wants something shipped from them to an alternate address (billing address is the only choice at checkout), an email with order # and where it should go is all it takes. I’m out of town, and my package should get here Friday.

@Letitia, what colors did you get?

Two flower of life which I actually like more than expected and one inferno. It was time to introduce some color into the rotation anyway. Bonus...have an excuse to order some black attys. Did order a pk of purple gems to liven it up with in the future. Should try one I guess to see if I want more for the stash; fearful the day will come I can't build.

I haven’t tried the gemms either. The boys used the lower ohm ones at Christmas and liked them, but they’re less atty picky than me. Mine got shove in the stash for “later”, but tick tock tick tock May is coming.... I better try them when I get home.
My second v3 is samurai ?? (black and white lattice looking). First squad is tree of life... I figured small patches of vibrant would be less jarring. It’s actually quite pretty!!!! Second squad is Inferno (so I can tell the buggers apart). Most of my mods are black, some stainless, a few blue.

So you finally quit trying to hide from himself how many mods you actually order eh? Lol
VR must be oos on db3, won't let me choose a color. Only 50 at 8vape, that's where mine are from. I'm loving the weight in a smaller package, very pleasant surprise. Flower of life is pretty and I admit to being relieved it isn't as brightly colored as the pictures suggest.
