Cancelled my order for the DB from fasttech as they bumped the in stock date back another month. Ended up ordering a TAC21 instead from efun. Almost picked up the detonator as it was cheaper but I really like the style/size of the TAC21.
exactly the same happened to me on FT. it would have been 2 months of waiting assuming that the ETA didn't slip further.
my tac 21 shipped next day from efun. i.e today.

Nice! What batteries will you be using with the TAC21? I don't have any 20700 or 21700's yet. I recall at least 1 review saying the 21700's had some issue with tearing the battery wraps from the sharp venting slits in the middle. Can anyone confirm if this will be an issue?

an informed friend suggested that there's any easy fix if you get one from that batch. check YT.
I'll be using samsung 40T 21700s and sanyo 20700Bs.

Good news. Got the TAC21 and was actually able to successfully insert 2x21700 batteries and close the door. Much better than my DB experience. Yeah it’s heavy, but it’s my coffee table mod, and 8000mah should last a fair bit. Also, my midlife crisis mod should be in by Friday.

I was worried about this also, but a note in the Roadside vapes description of the TAC21 says they have the latest ones that have corrected that issue, so I bought from them, and I have 21700s in it now.

could someone please tell me what is the maximum width of atty that'll sit on the tac 21 without overhang? it's not mentioned on the squid industries site i don't think. cheers.
I could if I could lay my hands on my calipers. I think they're at work. I doubt you'll have problem with a 25mm, and I think maybe a 27mm would go. Using a regular old tape measure the silly thing is 1-1/16" fat across the 510 connector.

Liking the TAC21 so far. It’s what I was hoping for from the DB. The battery door is not my favorite, still takes a good bit of pressure, but at least it’s doable. Worth it not to have to deal with tc menus and just have a good, simple, vape.

Liking the Steamcrave Titan also. It has the same button/dial combo as the TAC, but is VV instead of VW. If anyone needs a 4x18650 mod, I’d recommend it. Kind of handy that the tank that I got with can hold a whole bottle of liquid with room to spare . Also, only the second RTA that I successfully wicked without issues, but once I vape the tank dry I’ll probably put something else on top.
