I'm still poking around at a few pod/AIO setups, looking for something when I want a bit more discrete mod.

This tiny set is the aspire gusto mini. Halo has a promo where you can get it for $1 if you buy a 3 pack of pods (net $13 total).

The base menthol I got it with is quite respectable, and the 3 pack I went for is a berry blend (haven't tried them yet).

Very discrete, a quite nice vape. The pods are actually refillable (pop out the silicone tab at the top, replace it when done).

The other one I'm trying is the aspire spryte, it should be in early next week. That one has coils compatible with the nautilus mini.

I broke out the aspire spryte today. It works nicely with a 15mg 10% menthol.

Spryte battery size is a nominal 650, I believe Daniel measured 730. Gusto mini wins for smallest total form factor, and I believe the battery is slightly larger, though it would need a carto condom on the 510 driptip to not pick up pocket lint. (Spryte has a top cap, which can be placed on the bottom when in use).

With the spryte airflow fully open, the vape of the two devices is equivalent (very close on power, draw, flavor, vapor). With the spryte airflow shut most of the way it would likely satisfy someone seeking a really tight mtl.

Spryte has its own nic salt head, but otherwise takes the same aspire bvc coils used for the nautilus mini. Gusto mini uses refillable pods (which appear to have a bvc head embedded in them).

So, this job broke me. Well, not really... But I had to take matters into my own hands and make a snap judgement on a whim. Apparently you can change the schedule at a moment's notice and then shove people where you want them, how you want them, and expect them to be chipper. Well I said "F--- that! I have a family to look after now and I'm not working a 12 hour overnight shift then getting behind the wheel to drive to an appointment that's an hour away, spend an hour there, and drive an hour back!"

It was a test of my sanity. My job was making me angry, physically ill, and wearing me down. Oh well...

Well, I hope I got the new job, same thing... Welding. Just different company.

Onto other things... New toy came in.

Triade DNA 250C replay ON. Love it already. Will let you all know what I think about it.

Also, ordered a Taifun GT IV. Should be here in a few weeks (shipping on 9/20).

So, a week with the Triade DNA-250C...

The buttons haven't lost their tactile click yet, the paint, battery door art, and the epoxy (or epoxy looking stickers) has held up well, 1 charge since last week, and replay... Ohhhh replay. It can be finnicky, at times but overall I've been enjoying it. Thoroughly. It's like TC but not TC. Works fantastic with 316L and since that's mainly what I use, I haven't had the pleasure of testing Ni200 or Ti-01 / 02 on it. Even though those metals are in the device. It's supposed to work with 340 as well, but I don't have any 340 wire laying around to test it. Or was it 304? Eh, either way, I'm not jumping to go get anymore wire for a hot minute. I still have 8lbs of 24, 26, & 28 laying around.

It hits really good. And, if you use replay on it, you can expect a similar vape Everytime, with the exception of when it gets dry or when the coils get so hot that the device even gets hot. I've only had to reset replay on it 2x (maybe it was a slight glitch or I did something) but during an atty swap, the device didn't re-read the new resistance and when I hit the fire button it hit a .5 ohm atty at the last set power of 75W. Talk about HOT.

IF you're running the international firmware, it WILL DO 300W! Easy. Of course, based on your cell health, it will also SAG, EASY. And yes, you can, in the US, run International firmware on your device. Just install the international escribe and bang! Done.

Is it worth the extra money to go from a 250 to a 250C? In my opinion, yes. I have a Vaporshark DNA-250 with the LiPo in it. And I have 3 18650s in my Triade. Maybe it's just me, but my Triade battery life is just so much better. Doesn't matter what batteries I've used. All of my batteries are the same age (9 months old roughly) and testing it with the HG2s, VTC5s, VTC5-As, and VTC6s they've performed better on the 250C than the DNA-250 with the LiPo. Maybe @BatteryMooch has an explanation why, or is it something to do with the accuracy of the board itself. I'm also no slouch with my batteries. They get the crap whipped out of them when I get to testing new stuff. Ask my HB6s! Those are the only batteries I use in my mechs. The life sucks, but better safe, than sorry.

Should you invest in it? If high power is your thing, then maybe. If you like the safety of TC, BUT you didn't like how TC functioned or got fed up with it's finnicky side, then absolutely. Especially if you wanted TC but you wanted a warm TC vape. Because let's face it, some juices taste better, warmer. Let's just put it this way. I love it. I like the safety of NOT BURNING MY WICKS. I can get what I paid for in my juice. I can vape until the cotton is bone dry and not worry about a death hit. That, is something that draws me to the device. If the DNA-75C has replay on it, then no need to upgrade.

On a scale of 1-10 what would I rate it? A 7.

A 7 because of the issue I encountered on the first unit. Maybe a bad wire or loose connection. But if you bump it at all or even when I was loading my configuration onto the device, it gave me an error: "ERROR - PRESS UP TO CONTINUE". And of course, the battery ribbon in the Triade seems to be giving people issues as well, you either trim the ribbon, or you tuck the ribbon under the top battery. Also, the dang battery sled... You absolutely MUST put the batteries in straight. Negative first, then positive. If you DON'T, YOU MAY DAMAGE THE WRAPPER! Other than that, nothing really caught my attention. Same quality you can expect from Lost Vape. Amazing packaging, amazing construction, and amazingly heavy. Not to mention, you can use your mod as a power pack. And yes, Lost Vape provides the cable for it. Although I'd really love to see Evolv use USB-C in the future...

Hi all!

It's been a hectic summer, hopefully getting back into my regular weekend coffee roasting.

I'm using the pulse 80w a lot still, though my current favorite mod is a $16 (Fasttech) vpdam leon 20700 mech squonker, with reworked internals (modmaker 510 and 22 gauge copper contacts). With the parts change it's still under $30 total, performs great, and both hand feel and looks are quite good.

For toppers I'm enjoying the vapefly galaxies mtl rdta. I won one, ordered a second ($15 via AliExpress, using one of their frequent $4 off coupons). It's supposed to be excellent for mtl - as a restricted lung vaper I open up the side airflow screws 4 turns and it's giving great flavor.
