kayfun 3.1 shorting out when I screw chimney down

Raise the coil a bit next time and my Russian 91% has hissy fit when the center (positive block)is not aligned like yours (last pic)...try taking it fully apart..the bottom chamber can be screw apart, and then there is center pin, that connects to center post..realigned it.
IMO, that coil is WAY too close buddy. I'd say lift it up about 2mm further and see if there is any change. At least give it a shot.

the only reason i put my coil that low was to see if that fixed the problem def prefer it higher
Stop..look at your kayfun bottom piece...unscrew the 510 screw. Put aside, now twist the bottom part while holding top part..I know you can do to this, cause I use to own one. now there is screw connecting to block...

i straightened up that piece but regrettably that still did not solve the problem. but thank you for the video made it simple. i can screw the chimney down to the point where it will not wiggle but that last little bit makes it short out if i turn it
Hmm... very interesting. Just so I have something to do... what manufacturer built your Kayfun? EHPro, Tobeco, etc...?

the adjustable 510 pin doesn't thread as smooth through insulator, but it still works just fine. I recheck ohms and now it's up to 1.3."

correct and its just in the last maybe quarter of a turn when its fully tightened.considered just leaving it a not fully tightened bc it is secure but the top portion of the tank seems to turn it till snug when i screw those pieces on
Well, this problem is making me scratch my head, I've never of this problem, you're not using a nano kit are you?
no just the standard 3.1 i can see where the contact is coming from in the chimney i am going to try to slightly adjust the inside piece and see if i can make it work. If not ill probably have to sand down the inside piece just a touch.
