hi again,

have just received my Kyfun 3.1 to go on my vamo v5..
have not had chance to use it yet as im waiting on some new batteries.

have stripped down the kayfun and re built a few times to get used to it..
first off its a well machined bit of kit.. very solid and clean bit of gear.. cant wait to use it.

i have one question though..
what if.... i need to replace the coil when the tank is full of juice?
from what i can see there is no way to remove the base to work on the coil and leave the juice sealed in the tank.
when the chimney top comes away from the rest of the unit the seal between the tank and the top is gone meaning all juice in the tank will come out the drip tip..

is this the case or am i missing something. ?

cheers.

That is correct. That's why I keep a few empty used juice bottles on hand. It's easy enough to drain the tank, do your repairs, and put the juice back in.

Actually, I have one bottle of Nickoticket flavors that I've drained over time and the mix of flavors tastes quite nice...

thanks for that.. as i said its what i presumed but wanted to confirm it..
as your a current user of one what way do you drain your tank ( no pun intended )
let it drain out through the drip tip? or is there a cleaner way of doing it?

Heh - you're going to become an expert on this. If you wick with cotton, you'll get there in even shorter order as you'll be changing the wicks more frequently than the coils.

I'm a fan of draining through the drip tip, myself.

we talking just normal cotton wool? the sort our ladies use to wipe their faces down?
i tried it as a liquid feeder on my kanger pro mini tank..

I usually just cover the air intake, remove the top cap, and pour it into the bottle. I have a KFL+ so I have a fill screw on the bottom. If the bottle has a fine enough tip, I'll suck it out with the empty bottle through that.

That's what I do with my KFL+ as well, works fine for me! The Vamo+Kayfun should treat you pretty nice, I wish you a fast shipping time on your batteries! Vape on my friend!

I just take the top off and pour it into a bottle. Not sure how you would even drain through the drip tip, since if it's put together properly it won't drain any liquid from there, other than whatever's on the deck.

When you loosen the top cap it breaks the seal from the top of the chimney inside to the top cap, unscrew and it starts flowing out the drip tip then you can drain & do whatever needs to be done..

Always looking for ways to build a better mousetrap. I have learned tons watching people at the brick and mortars with all their little tricks. It would make a good funnel, and I wash everything in hot water when I re wick anyway. Found this video.

Thanks for the tip,
