For that price I think you'd be better off waiting until Monday & getting a black edition kayfun clone off a eBay dealer that goes by the name privatedeal2010. It's $49.99 and a hell of a good tank. Nice treads, fill screw at the bottom with o-ring, changeable drip tip, nicer metal than other clones. I've had mine going on two weeks now and not had the first leak, dry burn or any issue at all.

this one comes with a case thou and it has options for the style of finish.

Edit: my spell checker sucks

ok great post and i am looking to get this Kayfun 3.1 clone from hcigar next month. but yea the only problem i have is i lay my mod on its side in the padded case in my truck while i am driving and i pick it up vape a bit then lay it back down so i just want to make sure i will have no leaks when it is built but if enough people verify that this one from hcigar don't leak then ill probably go for it.

Laying it on its side shouldn't be a problem. They're actually more likely to leak in the vertical position (if the liquid channels get clogged with too much or poorly placed wick).

Just know that if you're driving in mountains...ANY tank can flood/leak. As the atmospheric pressure changes...funky physics stuff can happen with the vacume and wick action and lead to leaks.

Also an extremely quick and drastic temperature change might cause some issues as well. A tank can push out liquid if it goes from being pretty cool to really hot in a short time period (or vice verse). So...I don't advise leaving any PV in a hot vehicle for a long period...at least empty the tank if that needs to be done.

If you're a diver that cruises through mountains a bunch...keep an eye on it when driving under those conditions. If that is your primary driving conditions...a bottom feeder box with a nice RBA might be a better way to go (and you'll have to keep a closer eye on those too).

So the svoe. Mesto one ft sells is decent ? It seems that more people liked the russian (which is its sister) from ft a littke better. Last note is i keep hearing about this "black edition" being great hmmmm thats weird that i never see it except occasionally on ebay. I habe never tried a kayfun or russian. Will be making the jump shortly - hey Pbusardo get on with your kayfun black edition review already so i can make my final decision - i see it in que i think

3.1 from EhPro works great, fill hole works flawlessly with my Nicoticket bottles . As long as you have that thin tip on your e juice bottle you will have no problems filling the tank and enjoy your endless vape...Now what happens when the new 4.0 comes out this spring ? Wonder how they improve on the 3.1 ..?

I do not have a black edition, but I read they have a tighter draw and smaller juice channels.

What's the concern with a brass (chromed brass?) vs ss centrepost? Durability?

tia

Brass contains lead, especially cheap brass.
And since this part gets heated up & juice on it you'll have a risk of vaping e juice containing lead
Lead poisoning - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They take up it abit here, take a look:
Since this video among others were posted, FT started to say "Chrome plated brass post" Or "brass post"
