I was messing around the other day in need of a dripper so I stumbled upon this stunning idea! With the kayfun I removed the chimney, clear middle tank, and one metal tank piece put my cotton in and screwed on the top cap! To my amazement it worked! A Kayfun lite plus dripper! I also removed the little o ring where the chimney inserts! Still I Bought a dripper but in case of emergency this works well! Also it is bottom fed adjustable air flow Which is great in a dripper. A 22mm bottom air hole deep well dripper what more could you ask for! Just thought I would share my idea!

I actually wanted to transform my KFL into a dripper for sometime now. I was going to buy a Kayfun mini just for its drip mode.

I did think about the way you have it setup above but the only issue with that is, The top cap touches the coil when only using 1 sleeve so that wasn't an option. I am not sure how yours isn't touching the coil? Unless you have a large sleeve? or if its a nano sleeve?

I bought a nano tank off Ebay and now its works perfectly. Has enough height so the coil isn't touching the top cap. Though i am not a fan of clear drippers, It does work perfect since the KFL airflow comes from the bottom.

Here is mine with the nano tank in drip mode.

What sleeve are you using so that the coil isn't touching the top cap?

Here is a better shot of my KFL w a Nano tank in drip mode.

Here is a shot of the wick and coil before loaded with juice...

This pic right here is a vertical build i did that i wanted to experiment with.. It holds a LOT of juice!! I can chain vape using this style of build and not get one dry/burnt hit. Its still in drip mode but since there is much more cotton, It holds much more juice and you never need to drip once filled.

The vertical build looks awesome! And it certainly adds mobility... :) How does the Kayfun function without the chimney? Any notable difference on TH, flavor, vapor?

There is a little wasted juice but by that time I all ready to swap out the old cotton with new for a new juice...just remember expand the cotton with your fingers first..you don't need a lot of cotton just lightly fluff it once the juice hits the cotton the cotton will swell and form itself

I have taken this idea of a Kayfun Lite dripper a little farther.

The following is how I modified the Kayfun Lite for use as a dripper:

-I modified the top cap of the Kayfun Lite by drilling with a 27/64 bit from the bottom of the top cap until the outer edges of the bit had gone about .040 deep. I drilled centered with where oring for the top of the chimney goes. This gives room for dual coils setting parallel to the positive and negative posts, one coil on each side with 1/16 between them for air flow from the bottom. This also creates a funnel shape for the vapor to travel to the drip tip. I am going to increase the size by drilling with a 1/2 bit and going a little deeper. Just have to be careful not to go too deep.
-I then drilled two 1/16 holes, 180 degrees apart, in the top cap. These holes come out on the top of the top cap right next to the "nipple" part that the drip tip goes into. These holes give additional air flow at the coils in addition to the bottom factory air flow. I also removed the air flow adjustment screw.
-I drilled out the Kayfun Lite drip tip to the diameter that it is at the bottom all the way to the top.
-I do not use either part of the chimney assembly.
-I use only the base, one metal tank section, modified top cap and drip tip.
-I do not use an oring between the metal tank section and the top cap to make removing the top cap for adding juice easier.
-I do use an oring between the metal tank section and the base.
-I wick the coils with cotton as I normally would and then loosely add cotton to a level just below the top of the positive block that the bottom air flow comes out from.
-I fill with juice with the top cap removed until the cotton is fully saturated. I even fill sometimes until I can see liquid juice pooling to almost the top of the cotton.

The dual coils I am now using have a combined ohms of .8. To me they are a little too hot and I think I will recoil with dual coils in the range of 1 ohm or try a single coil around .8 ohms.
It works really good, but I think it would be better if the top cap was away from the coils a bit more. That is why I am going to drill the top cap some more. I do not think it will ever work great with super low ohm builds because of this limited height. I may play around with some of the nano tank parts to see if I can improve it. I think it can be improved even more.

By the way this is a CLONE, not an original Kayfun.
I can not post pictures at the present as I have to get batteries for my camera. Hopefully I explained it good enough that you can follow what I did.

I have an Hcigar kfl clone and a Tobeco kfl+ clone. On the Tobeco clone, the underside of the top cap is deeply recessed so that I can configure it in the same way as the op pictured with no contact with the coil. It won't work with my Hcigar because the underside of the top cap is perfectly flat. The Tobeco is pretty decent in dripper mode.
