Update: After everything I've done, my tobeco kfl was wicking so well, I totally removed the grub screw again, it's now almost silent, real nice and airy, PaLUMES of vapor, good flavor and so far not a single dry hit.

I saw something on fasttech, looks pretty neat, was wondering if anyone knows if these parts will work with this kayfun version.
$5.12 Spare Parts for Kayfun v3.1 Atomizer - PMMA at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

those parts will work on the 3.1es, lite and lite plus. I ordered 2 sets for my kayfuns....

Not bad at all for 'walk out the door with it'. Which unit is it? My understanding (possibly wrong),

Tobeco: cambered top (like original), one piece center pin (like kayfun, but not like russian).
Ehpro: non cambered top, two piece center pin (screw into screw, like russian but not like kayfun).

Does it whistle?

Tobeco, all stainless no plastic tank. It did whistle until I removed the adjustment plug, now it's fine. I ordered a replacement plastic tank on ebay, hope it fits.

Yea, a guinea pig....err, I mean brave early tester. I'm thinking that will make them sooo much lighter. Keep us posted when you get them.

Have you ordered the fatty yet? I held out for almost a day lol. I don't have a single dripper since returning my immortaclone, so I'm needing something. :vapor:

The immortalizer clone is a great dripper but an awful lot of them arrive with the negative screw hole stripped at the top of the hole, and the screw won't grab. If it had been the screw itself I'd of just replaced it. Some folks are putting a little wire in the hole and threading the screw into that.

The terminals are pretty close and mounting a round wire coil can be a little tedious because the terminals have a hole in the bottom part under the screw and when you tighten the screw down, it can shear the wire there. You have to learn when to stop short of full-on tight or it'll shear, and if you don't get it firm enough, it'll back off. Ribbon wire is a breeze though. The vape from it is stellar, every bit as good as my funalikes.

Way to hang in there. :vapor:

It's actually a little sad, messing around with this stuff can be frustrating, but it's also fun, I drilled out the drip tip to 1/8 inch today, I wasn't overly fond of the tight stream of vapor coming from through the tip, I don't know that it changed very much, but I had some fun...
...not sure what else I can mess with now, maybe it's time to try sanding the contacts of my k100 down to the brass...

Well, I was thinking it wouldn't be much of a guinea pig risk, I mean all the parts will work together, as long as the chimney and tank have the same threading as the base.....

...only a week more from fasttech, ahahahahaha, if I ever use them again, I plan on going into it with the idea that it'll take two months to arrive, that way I can be happy when it doesn't take that long, kinda sad, it seems like it wasn't too long ago when people used to talk about getting stuff from them in like, 10 days...

It'd be crazy if those tank parts could somehow thread onto fasttech's taifun ss replacement base. Then you could make a "hybrid" tank for only about 10 bucks.

I just wish the taifun gs was shorter. I don't like for the coil to be too far from my mouth or the vapor cools too much to suit me. I use a short drip tip on my funalikes and still wouldn't mind if it was shorter also.

I just like the design on the gs. It looks to me like it would almost have to wick good if set up correctly.

Anyone vape tank crackers in their tobeco KFL? I admittedly haven't read this entire thread, so my apologies if it was asked before.

I haven't put anything too strong in it yet, with the plastic tank section in. What I'm vaping on right now, I took a 10ml cinnamon red hot 24mg from a local b&m and mixed it in a 50 ml bottle with some unflavored, 0 nic juice from mbv, then added some nicquid added burst menthol drops. So, yes, it's a tank cracker, but it's fairly diluted. So far, I'm about halfway through that bottle and no issues yet. I haven't had this tank very long yet, but when I get more used to filling and when to stop, I'll probably switch to the ss tank section, though I did order the plastic parts from fasttech, just for fun...
