I own 4 kayfuns and am just so used to keeping them upright because of the gennys I use to vape. anyways I don't lay them on their sides at all but have heard this doesn't affect them, I say that's not true because quite a few times I have been laying down and have held them sort of sideways, while most of the time it doesn't affect them sometimes it does and they start to leak from the airhole. it just actually happened 10 minutes ago

It can be laid on it's side. I've never had it leak other than 1 or 2 drops out the airhole when filling from the top, when filling from the bottom it's never leaked a drop.

regardless of which way you fill it, its happened to me quite a few times and it is from being laid on its side. I have no defective kayfun and its not a clone, all I can tell you is a few times I have laid the device on its side and it did leak from the airhole.

Depends on how full the tank is when you lay it down...

Per Svoemesto's User Manual for the Kayfun... (http://www.svoemesto-manual.de/get.php?man=4&lang=EN

Minor leaks may happen if the tank is filled completely, or it is filled more than halfway while Kayfun Lite is lying horizontally or with mouthpiece tilted down for some time. In this case, one of the grooves (1h) could be at the top "in the air" and another one at the bottom dipped into e-liquid.

In this case the air will escape from evaporation chamber through the top groove and e- liquid will flow from the tank to the evaporation chamber through the bottom groove. Naturally this process stops as soon as both grooves are covered with e-liquid. Make sure that both grooves are always covered with e-liquid, keep Kayfun Lite horizontally in such a way that the mouthpiece is always slightly higher than the evaporation chamber. Even better, keep it in the vertical (or near vertical) position if your battery mod allows it

that makes sense. i guess the couple of times this happened to me my tank was pretty full and my grooves were in the wrong location.

I know that's what the manual says but I lay it down on my nightstand every night and for over 6 months that I have owned it... It has not leaked or flooded once from laying it down. If not in my hands while driving it's laying on my center console and also no problem unless going up a mountain.(air pressure there) :)

I'm sure a lot has to do with how it's wicked and what not but I run a simple 7-8 wrap micro coil with 28g kanthal and cotton for a wick, not one prob.

weird because I run the same basic micro coil in mine and although out of habit I don't lay it down, the few times I did, it dribbled. bad luck I guess.

Mine lay on their sides almost constantly, and like Johathan Rizo I lay it on it's side in my car while driving. I wick mine like described in the link posted by Megabyt (no micro coil - silica and 32g A1). I keep two KFLs on their sides in my little case at all times (different flavors).

The only problem I've ever had is with the 3.1s leaking a few drops out of the "one way fill valve", but that goes away after a few drips.

I've been able to lay mine down when full, but have had it leak when the juice level was at or below the top of the bottom extension tube. Now I make a crude stand out of a spare ceramic coffee mug with a few paper towels folded up as "cushions".

Wonder if the juice viscosity makes a difference in horizontal leaking? I'd think higher VG juice might leak less or slower than lower VG% juice.
